  • Katrien is 100% loyal to Mr D which is to be expected.
  • Dozy Meir.
  • And yet I still love her.
  • No point blaming Miere, she ain't calling the shots.

She is doing whatever RD tells her to.
  • Training to become an MP
  • All the geezers that have been drooling over Meire.

    What are you thinking now?

Katrien. Liar or puppet/mug, you decide.

Liar. Well paid one, of course.

No change in that department. There's more to life than football. :)
F*** it, nothing like a bit of humour in these dark times.

She's a qualified mushroom grower. Keeps us in the dark and feeds us shit.

Ypu, so much better than the last lot.
So transparent, no lies, with the added joy of having no money and a pitch muddier than my back passage.
Bring back the old days eh?

    Only Roland gets a nibble.
  • Spot on N L A
  • She is just doing a job and pretty certain she is not in on the decision to sack the manager. She may express her views on the matter, but, overall does make such key decisions.
Her job is probably not that clear cut, probably requires her to pull the wool over our eyes In certain situations.
I don't think she finds it enjoyable, probably rather embarrassing and under-mining, degrading.
Roland has proven he is a ruthless businessman and will sack people without much hesitation.
Does she want to get fired by not doing her job? Does she go home with an evil laugh "Ha! I've fooled those Charlton fans again!".

It's bad management from Roland. Next time, we won't take what she says that seriously, eh.

If she was the Communications manager I could buy that. But she is the Chief exec, supposed to be running the place. That's why it's wrong. But agree we should take what she says in future with a whole shovel load of salt!

Up until now, I too have been pleased with Katrien.

But in the past 2 days she has had a shocker.

Imagine if this was a bank, and the Chief Executive lied to it's customers on the say so of major shareholders. Or worse, had been misled by the Chairman and had,in good faith, in turn misled the customers. Either way, their position would be untenable; there would be an outcry; they would have to resign.

Because there are "only" about 15,000 of us regular customers, rather than the millions of customers a bank has, does that make it ok? Not in my book. It is a breach of trust.

She has either knowingly lied, or been hung out to dry by Roland, like a mug.

    No getting away from it.

Not much getting away from the fact that cafe are as about as like a bank as my elbow is from Simon Church.

    Things change.
    Decisions are made
Unless your bank has a transfer window?
Unless your bank has the prospect of relegation?
Unless changing your bank manager at short notice is seen as a possible move to prevent relegation?

You might want us to move glacially but that way leads to madness.
I don't like the decision at all, but I would prefer an active decision to a playground slide down the razor blade we had to endure post Curbs

Hardly think analogies with Banks argue the case, the Banks have consistently lied and cheated and thats why we have had this shit economy for the last six years and on top of that they get frigging bonuses too.

I really like her. I've seen her down at the Valley and up at Sparrows Lane, away from the fans and media, she is very hands on and genuinely appears to always want the best for CAFC or at least what she believes is best. She is of course loyal to RD, the employer and of course she's can only say so much in public and that's going to alienate the fans every now and then. I'm sure she'll be pissed off that RD has made her look stupid over the past 7 days in his own actions but in Katrien I trust.

Yes, she's likeable, intelligent and I am sure a decent person, but she's about as much a chief executive as she is a goalkeeper.
So what are you saying Etheridge wouldn't make a decent CEO either?

..and how does that compare to the last lot Rick?
  • For my money she actually could have done a better job in goal for us last Saturday
  • She was left out of the loop on this one by RD I would guess, he put in place to keep an eye on the cheque book only. He makes the important decisions and no one else.
