  • another 1000 tickets have been asked for
  • It's interesting that this game has caught the imagination more than perhaps might have been expected, I guess it's the rarity of cup runs for us and the prospect of Wembley in 2 wins time.
That and exchanging banter with Michael Vaughan :-)

Really, that would take your allocation up to 2500?

You can still pay on the day but for the reduced price of £15 you have to buy in advance.

  • do you think we will be able to sell 2500????
  • glory hunters.

Is that a question to me? if it is I dunno you tell me, seem to be selling well so far for you guys so I see no reason why not, in fact I wish you could sell 5k!

so do i. i wish we would sell 5k. what is the actual allocation we can have because its a fa cup game

  • i reckon we will easily sell the 2500 especially with the brum game saturday people will be buying tickets then
  • The away end holds just under 7k I think, there is the NWC with a further 1500 seats bringing the away capacity to over 8k, but due to Police paranoia it will probably be around 6k tops

    'easily'??…i don't think so.

Tbh it really doesn't matter how many we take as long as the people that do go make a bit of noise. I'm more concerned about the players turning up.

  • i think it should make me for really good atmosphere and i personally love hillsboro real old school ground and a lot of character.
  • We won't flog 2,500. It'll be somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000, which is respectable and at an old school ground with a decent Wednesday crowd and a quarter final place at stake will be enough to make it a proper "big game" atmosphere.
  • I've mentioned it many times before but Villa Park, Goodison and Hillsborough are my favourite English grounds. Also Falmer and New York.

Good away following 2.5k would be outstanding.

Just got 6. Looking forward to this. Has probably one of the best pubs i know, but that of course will be kept a secret, wouldn't want everyone to know about this gem ;-)

If you are a real ale fan must be either The Fat Cat, Kelham Island Tavern or Station Tap. On the other hand, judging by by your name, your tipple wouldn't be San Miguel by any chance?
  • I've just ordered 4 and a mate will be getting another 4 or 5 later in the week. I reckon we'll have about 1800 up there, a great turn-out but it shows up our attendance in 2011/12.

I already like Hillsborough a lot so I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing it almost full. A night staying over will also make it fun regardless of what goes on in the game.
  • Still got to get our ten!!

    San Miguel Llera?
  • San Miguel Llera?

Nah,He ain't got a clue! I will never forget his performance at Colchester. Having said that he will probably score against us, especially if we have the Flapper between the sticks.

Hi OP, serious question, are there any decent hotels to stay at in Sheffield?

Depends what you want, Garrison is decent close to the ground and there's your usual chain hotels in the City Centre. I'd recommend the Leopold or perhaps the Hillsborough Hotel if you want a bit of real ale.
Stayed at the hilsborugh hotel a few years ago.
    Definitely one for ale enthusiasts.
Stayed in the Best Western - Cutlers Hotel about a month ago, a bit eccentric and old fashioned but enjoyed it and you get free parking at a nearby car park

  • Remember when we took over 8,000 to a 5th round tie at Wolves (70's) - my old folks wouldn't let me go :(

    Ditto.

Anyone that I would usually go with thinks I am certifiable for even considering an away game at the moment.

What's the world record for most people playing Chase the Ace?
