I've just booked the train. Will be my first and probably only away game of the season. Must be mental. Have always driven to Hillsborough in the past, can someone tell me if the tram is the best way to get there from the station and if so, how long it takes?

Tram will take about 15 mins, and it's an easy option although if you leave it late it will be packed with Wednesday fans.

Any news on how many Charlton fans are coming up for this? £15 quid to come and see one of the best grounds in the country and believe me, we are absolutely buzzing!
Cannot wait for this game.
One of the best grounds in the country? See you're still a deluded prick.
Not deluded mate, I feel strongly about that.
I could see the grandeur of the place back in 2006 when I last visited - but even then it was distinctly faded. Has much been spent on the place since then? Have the toilets in the away end received their 10 yearly clean up?

None whatsoever, in fact the bit of update the stadium had was when the South Stand (the stand to your right as you sit) was made bigger and seats installed on the Kop.
I do know the away end is the worst part of the stadium though and thankfully I don't have to sit there because that is an old stand that's in desperate need of a face lift.
For those that haven't noticed the tickets are £15 for Valley Gold and Season Ticket Holders, everyone else including red card holders will have to pay £20.
You'd have to ask Chef Wendy I think about that. I think I am right, although AB will correct me I'm sure, but they set the prices although we would have some input if we thought the pricing too prohibitive. I can only assume that they think we will take thousands and that this way it somehow rewards loyal fans, ie season ticket holders. How many red card holders wouldn't know a season ticket holder who could get them one though?

Why can't the tickets go on general sale at £15.
Just get a season ticket holders con number who is not going.

It's worth noting Sheff Weds fans who are either season ticket holders or Owls members get their tickets at £15. Owls members appears to be the equivalent of the Red Card scheme.
Both Owls membership and the Red Card scheme offer fans who are not season ticket holders some form of ticket priority over non members. Both schemes in effect allow the clubs to monitor fans.
On balance, it appears that some Charlton fans are being asked to pay more than some of their equivalents at Wednesday. Is this not a breach of the FA's rules? Do Charlton know? Do Wednesday even know that the Red Card scheme exists?
The difference being is that the Owls membership cost £25 a season to join whereas the Red Card Scheme has no fee.
Not convinced this is relevant. And questions above still stand.
If the fact a fee is charged is relevant, then would it be fair for Wednesday to charge home fans 5p for membership of a scheme and then say for a cup game £10 for season ticket holders of both clubs and members of our scheme, everyone else £30 including those who are members of a free scheme. I suspect most people would say no.
There is a difference between ticket priority and a discount scheme. The Owls scheme includes for discounted tickets for home games normally £2, as well as other benifits including priority for home and away games. The CAFC Red Card scheme does not make a mention of ticket priorities in any case I think it is now laregly defunct as it was stated somewhere that a new scheme was to be introduced at the back end of 2013 which does appeared to have materialised.
Can't wait to go into the next round. Should be an easy win for us. Soon wipe the smiles of the little sheff weds two bob faces
We aren't underestimating Charlton, we know we have a very tough game on our hands, we know you will be a difficult side to play against, you have some decent players but we are playing much better football these days, can't wait for it myself.
