  • I'd play him in front of the lazy, greedy, ball hogging, moaning, whining sweaty sock at the moment
  • He ran around a lot, got caught offside a couple of times, fell over, and pointed.

Echo this... Too many balls were lobbed up to him and Watt and I was quite shocked when Reza actually managed to win a header (albeit the only one he'd win)... He did well using his pace to close down the Goalkeeper (the only who seemed bothered to do so) yet that meant he was caught miles offside when we got the ball back... Certainly showed effort and wasnt there to add up the numbers
  • He will be decent in League one next season..
  • Showed some good touches yesterday but seems to live offside at times.
  • He is not a 6 foot 4 barnstorming centre forward. He needs supply to make an impression. No supply, no chance of impressing. He can only be judged on what he does with the ball when he gets it (and he barely had the ball against Brentford) and on whether or not he gets into good positions.

He's out of Contract at the end of the season... Guessing we're seeing impressive performances to get a Contract elsewhere
  • Just watched his interview on player (from last night). Comes across well and makes some good points. Worth a watch. Uses a few cliches (admits it himself!) - says the players are all down about the situation - but working hard to try and resolve it...

  • It's not saying much, but he was one of our better attacking players yesterday
  • 'We should be higher than we are at the moment' ... Why? The league table does not lie. This weeks player interview...heard it all before... Stop talking about turning it around and do it or at least show some passion that you are trying to. Reza is a poor mans Simon Church.

Reza is underrated. He's had 2 spells with us and both times we've been in a relegation battle. People call him lightweight but he is what he is. A nippy small guy who can finish - he's never going to be a Mick Harford.

    He couldn't finish a breakfast.

1 goal in 20 appearences suggests he can't finish. Sadly if Reza is the answer were asking the wrong question.
Any striker's stats for Charlton over the last few years and particularly this season, are skewed by the fact that we don't create any chances.

It also suggests that for many of those said performances he was played on the wing...

Or was playing up front with non-existant service...

  • Probably the only bit of service he got the other night was a brilliant through ball (from KAG?) but he was just off-side. Other than that, there was nothing and he only managed one pot shot from outside the box which was held by the keeper.

He may well not be the answer but he looks the only one available who might get behind a defence.
  • At least he looks fit, Tony Watt seems to have been following the same fitness regime as Astrit Asdjarevic...
  • Scored a goal today, but how did he play?
  • Best in a Charlton shirt? One of his best IMO.

I thought he played really well.
  • Played well but should have scored more than one, as should Simon.

Took his chance well and worked hard throughout. Had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
  • It's his first good game for the club
  • He kept pushing their defence back by playing one step behind them, it did mean that he wasn't getting passes as often as he could have probably because it looked like he would have been offside but it meant they were pinned in their own half a bit more instead of the other way around as has been the case over the past two months...best game he's played for us and if it wasn't for an awesome performance by our number 12 (don't mention his name as we approach the January window) then Reza would have been my man if the match
