don't forget that both Tj & MS said that they left us in a better state than when they arrived......did they f**k. Over the last 12 months no money has been spent on the team or the pitch - and it shows !!
Absolute disgrace. Postponed less than two hours before kick-off. What about all those (including Barnsley folk) who are travelling to the game? Shameful.
Agree 100%.
I really hope the club offer them free travel for the rearranged game.
Makes no real difference to me as I live very locally, but am very sorry and frustrated for all those who have travelled long distances without any indication there would be a problem.
Surely the situation can't have deteriorated in the last few hours to the extent that it couldn't have been predicted earlier.
No clues until 12.45pm that there could be a problem is very poor on part of the club.
My Dad has seen the pitch and said some parts are too soggy where the ball isn't bouncing. Find it hard to believe it was any different yesterday, so why no inspection then?!
I await the official full club statement with interest! Can't understand why if it's considered dangerous now why it would not have been like that this time yesterday. No forewarning of this, opposite in fact with optimistic messages coming out. Totally embarrassing and unacceptable the way this has been mishandled and very sorry for fans who have travelled for hours. Shambles!
We will be a laughing stock if this carries on. I really feel for fans of both clubs who have spent time and money travelling only for it to be called off at the last possible moment.
It's the ref's decision and I bet the club are livid. Our own people must have thought it was ok?
If people want to get embarrassed about a bit of grass then I can't stop them.
Think I'll leave you all to wallow.
Its more to do with the way it has been handled. The pitch will be no different now to how it would have been at 9am. If there was the slightest doubt something should have been said.
There should have been a pitch inspection yesterday and indications to all that the game may not be on. Organisation is shambolic. I know that the club is in process of changing ownership but this is seriously embarrassing.
Club need to apologise to all travelling fans and take a serious look at the procedure, so this situation is handled differently in the future.

What a disgrace

The official line on twitter all week has been "No problems for Saturday".
Shameful.

Considering there's been a dome on it all week so it could only improve this makes no sense.
Pathetic
