At the risk of attracting abuse. Switch the game to Oxford if Wednesday's game can't go ahead. Not what I want to see, but drastic situations sometimes require drastic actions. The fixtures are just going to pile up otherwise. The league has to be our first priority. I'll get my coat.

I'd actually be remotely interested in going if we played at theirs. New ground for me, not that far and Oxford is decent for a drink
it's the north stand that's the problem apparently. when they built it they didn't have a proper damp causeway put in. it was said it would cost more money so they went for the cheaper option. at first it was fine but after several years the ground started to move which has contributed to the problems we have now. I guess it will only get worse unless something is done about it.

Bit of a joke really. Sorry, he may of played for us but Paddy has to go now. Ronald' sort it out.
Until the drainage is replaced or a dome cover purchased we will always have this problem. Paddy called it pre-season when the pitch looked good. He said bad weather again and the pitch will go to pot. He was right. By the way, the dome cover cost £15,000 a week to rent. We spent £22,000 on the pitch in the Summer. That says it all. Don't call for someone's head if you don't know the true facts and what's been going on down there !

That's interesting, clearly it's a significant job to fix, and not something a that a bit more money spent on pitch will improve.
At least if we get a big team in the 4th round draw it might add some incentive for the game. Say we got Arsenal away or something. could make it more interesting.
We should all know by now that Paddy is a top groundsman. It would be a disaster to lose him. Clearly the time has come for some investment in fixing the pitch - the easiest solution must be a deecnt cover. That way- rainfall on the pitch can be controlled.

Hardly a disaster. I've no desire to replace Paddy who is a club legend, but there will be several groundsmen out there who could do his job just as well

Wonder if that'll give the pitch enough time to recover before the Barnsley game?

Any fancy a whip round?
