Agree with all the above. We were mugged,again---what the heck happened to that energy, drive and intensity from last week?Couldn't SCP see that Leeds' defence was useless and we should have gone for the throat second half.Instead,Leeds put the ball out.Dervite puts the ball out. They attack and what is Harriott doing Wilson's job for.Don't let forwards tackle-back.SCP shoulders the blame here---I'm loathe to criticise him and haven't before--but it seems we give the opposition way too much respect, can't realise when we have them on the ropes, can't see that their two lumbering centre-backs needed turning on a horrid surface, and where were the shots that would skim off the surface? It wasn't that Leeds were any good---worse than most we've seen this season. OK,Stewart scored a cracker--but what was going on with his crossing?SCP had to tell him two or three times from the touchline.Harriott flatters to deceive,we need a winger that blasts past defenders and crosses to Church,Kermy, whoever is well-placed.Cut the tricks and stick to basics. Church did so well to make the second and then Hamer doesn't want to dirty his kit---he gets away with mistake after mistake.Come on Chris.,Hamer needs a real blast for his display. His kicking was poor,decision-making too slow and uncertain and he still doesn't give fans any great confidence. Far too laboured in our build-up.Messed around passing between defenders instead of playing the ball over the top of their centre-backs where Church would beat them for speed. No urgency, little thought, and a kick up the backside for being so smug about the clean-sheets. It ALWAYS happens--why? Any answers to this lot--PLEASE!! Can't believe McCormack's four from four shots.Who else had a shot for them.Even the Leeds' fans were in shock at the end. I thought McDermott was a better manager than encouraging blatant time-wasting.Third-tier stuff. Now the players have two weeks of depression and the thought of QPR away. SCP needs to get nasty with this squad--and sort out some ideas for playing home games. We're great to watch away from home but it all goes horribly wrong where we're supposed to be strongest--in front of the very fans we need to encourage to support the team. A complete mess of a day. I'll probably get hit by the satellite thats dropping to Earth as we speak.
When we got it back to 2-2 I thought we were gonna go on to win. However, a nice piece of dithering by Ben Hamer for their 3rd put paid to that. Crap day, crap ref, crap result ...gutted. Didn't deserve that today
Between Hamer, bad luck, dirty Leeds cheating/time wasting and the ref we lost 3 point today. Hamers distribution was shocking and so was his keeping for their 3rd. 6 yard box in the air its the keepers ball. If out field players want to play the ball there, it dont say much about their faith in the keeper. We should have had the game sewn up by half time.
2) Hamer was not interested from the start, moaning about the pitch when warming up, he doesn't do enough for me from aerial free kicks/corners/balls into the area. Not good enough 4 shots on target 4 goals says it all.
3) Centre backs not as secure as have been over past 3/4 games.
4) Subs were a bit late Kermy seemed to be playing wide when he came on, the formation seemed to go to pot at that stage.
Dirty, cheating team and a ref who is incompetent or crooked. One or two bad decisions I could let go, but some of the calls he made were just farcical. That said, we are about as lethal up front as a dormouse in a tiger's lair, and scoring twice was a pleasant surprise! Leeds without McCormack would be fighting relegation if today's showing is anything to go by.
We might have had more shots, played better etc but they scored more goals. End of
Very frustrating but as Oggy said oh for one of those "boring, negative" displays when we don't concede.
We looked like the team from the start of the season making and being punished for them.
Don't blame the ref either. Clear pen to them and he booked them for timewasting. They are a snidy dirty side with class keeper and striker.
When Harriot and Stewart switched back to their natural sides they and we looked much better so why move them back at the start of the 2nd half.
Kermo looked a shadow of himself.
People slag off Pritchard and he has his faults but we missed him today.
So just to clarify then the best team always score more goals. Thought they were the winners.
Surely depends on your interpretation of football, I know we are not allowed to have a differing opinion to you but I thought we were the better team for most of the game today, some terrible ref decisions & a couple of poor mistakes at the back did not make us the worst team today end of!
The team that scored 4 goals won but not sure they were better than us.
I would have sent Kenny off in the first half. Booked for time wasting and then applauded the ref for it (these Leeds chaps do like clapping) should of had a second card for dissent.
Can't believe they scored 4. Absolute mess for their third goal, god knows what Hamer was doing. Kenny made a couple of decent saves to keep them in it and I thought at 2-2 we would go on and win it but the indecisiveness for the third goal finished us off. Pissed of because Leeds weren't that good and this was justified by their time wasting in the first half and as for the ref, what an absolute joke. Great strike by Stewart and superb assist by Church for Jackos goal. Not sure what bringing Kermo on for as he was way off the pace. Hacked off.
Think the ref was following the ball for Church's (non) Pen but he was never going to turn down the opportunity to give them one, though I though Harriott was stupid to even give him a chance. We should have been 2 goals ahead at half time and I had a feeling that would come back to bit us in the arse. Kenny was excellent, whereas Hamer needed to come and claim the ball for their third, which ultimately knocked the stuffing out of us. Wood can come back in to the team any time he is fit. Jacko put in a good shift and Stewart's goal was brilliant. Church did well and God only knows how he didn't get on the scoresheet - fantastic save by Kenny and shortly after a miracle clearance from almost under the bar. Lovely display of finishing by McCormack, but leaves a sour taste that the Leeds had the ref in their pocket from the first whistle.
Ref First. Thought Harriot fouled their bloke and it was a pen. Thought Church was fouled in first half, should have been a pen.Thought the foul on edge of box by wiggins at the end was a foul but had it not been in injury time we may have had a bigger more effective wall. The tackle by jj on the half way line was soft but we should have defended it better. Strikers. When was the last time we had a striker that scored 4 goals in a game ?4 different types of goal scored by one player against us today. On other posts their has been critisism of Hamer [which I think is wrong].More relevant than comparing Kenny with Hamer would be to compare chuch with McCormack. If those two were swpped we would have won comfortably. Pitch helped them not us . I thought their support was immense. However much you hate Leeds [and I do]they never stopped singing for about half an hour in the first half and that I think inspired a mediocre[not rubbish] Leeds to go 1-0 up. Positives:though Yann was rubbish today at least he didnt get injured . We played some good stuff and without an inspired centre forward and goalkeeper on the opposition we would have won.
Posting before reading, didn't deserve 4-2 today, if the ref gave a pen for them then we should have had one when Church went down in the box - McCormack apart, nothing to separate either side.
Thought Wilson had a poor game, Hamer wasn't great but otherwise, you can't slaughter the boys for that performance
Gutted, thought we might come out 2nd half and build on the momentum gained leading up to half time , the penalty/ was it a penalty? Was a kick in the nuts that took the wind out of our sales, i thought we deserved to win , but you can't expect to let 4 goals in at home and expect to win can you? :-0
i am encouraged when we go through spells of patience and passing it around well, waiting for the moment. I noticed our second goal was due to being patient and waiting for the opponent to fail. when teams try to rush the opening, they won't get it and they probably won't score. i feel like leeds were not lucky but just ruthless. they were executing a bad gameplan and we gave the win to them. it makes me encouraged that if we were just to always have a patient mindset we would walkover teams like leeds. good parts but we are naive. if we stop doing our bad habit of passing it around the defence and then booting it to the attacker (their defender) then we will score bundles of goals. you don't need a top striker to score tons of goals. it is how you play. arsenal only have one striker who isn't exactly messi but they play a way that will get goals. i would say harriot must learn he is not the only player on the pitch and not to shoot at every oppurtunity. if we keep working hard and staying solid at the back then by christmas we could be around 12th. lets face it we won't go down. the team has progressed alot since august
Perhaps I have been a touch harsh in saying he could have done better with the 4th, but I think his all-round demeanour and arrogant streak is incredibly frustrating.
Everyone stayed behind to clap the fans - after all, no-one had played too badly and we were unlucky - except Hamer. Straight down the tunnel. It irritated me a little, I must admit.
here they come..........just been reading others comments first.
Thought we were robbed - we were the better of the 2 teams, but as somebody has just posted, it was Highbury in reverse. The only difference between the two teams (apart from a shit ref) was that they had a goalscorer & a keeper that can save. It defies belief that we can have so much action insider an oppositions penalty area and yet deflections and ricochets never go in or the ball lands for the opponents and not at the feet of one of our players. Just sometimes need that little bit of luck - CP must have broken a few mirrors or walked under some landers recently as nothing is going our way.
Church was denied 2 pens, but the first was on the other side to me so didn't have a good view and Hariotts challenge on other day would have not been given...........but he should have down better with the shot into the side netting but can't blame him for Kenny's wonder save - Church made good contact and 9 times out of 10 the ball would have been in the net.
Finally, yes, I did enjoy the game and not sure if Henry's post was aimed at getting a rise out of me or not..........but I much prefer that type of game than a tippy-tappy 0-0 anyday.,,,,,,,,,,,,just have to win the next one 4-2 that's all.
PS - just seen the goals on Sky and can't blame Hamer for the 4th goal but was def at fault for the 3rd and I thought he went down too soon for their 1st and should have spread himself more - but if we had a goalscorer then it wouldn't matter too much.

If he did the opposite of what he thought throughout the game, he would of got more right than wrong.
As for Leeds and their slap head manager.
They are a bunch of scummy cheats, time wasting after 21 minutes is a disgrace.
An angry man.

"The best team won"
If I didn't know better I would suggest up you were trolling.

Not every decent strike should fly in, yet they all seem to. He is incapable of saving shots outside the box.
