Moves Welling up the table, good result as they not only have a depleted squad but Striker H. Beautyman has gone To Peterborough on loan. Welling look to get about 5k for him if Posh sign him up.

They're not in a position to hold players back but £5k is a piss take for someone of his ability/potential. They've got no choice when they sign players and have a release clause though as they can't pay the wages to keep them.
As much as I loved Brown as a player, this was 100% the right decision. I don't think they've got a bad team. They've got some decent players, they just play really boring hoofball. That's down to the manager!!
It's fine to say 'this time 2 years ago we were on the brink of going out of business' but that's irrelevant. New owners have come in, pumped a lot of money into the club & have openly stated they expect promotion in return. They weren't going to get that with Brown in charge!

I've watched them three times this season and thought they played some nice stuff in patches. They seem to be terrible at home though and, given that rumours have been flying around for ages, I'm not surprised Brown has been given the elbow.
good hope all local non league teams implode and the freaks that go to them come to Charlton instead we need your support
Can't do too many big away games anymore but want a football fix so supporting your local team(s) is the next best thing. Would never forsake a home game in favour of a trip to Ebbsfleet or Welling though..........

And the Premier League fan said, I hope all none Premier League teams would implode and then they can stay at home and watch Premier League football on Sky
I did mean I'd rather punters came to watch Charlton than go to non league teams
But I am sorry for the offence taken about wishing them to implode (which to the sensitive people who should never take literally what I say btw ) I retract that and will say I would never want any local football team especially where a lot of time and effort and devotion has gone in to them from fans and backers to ever get in trouble (millwall and palace excepted)
But I definitely don't want local teams to be too successful where they would end up as a genuine competitor for our fans
reminder to self think before you write and don't be afraid to add smileys to soften harsh bullshit :-)
The remark was aimed at falconwood who I sort of know from various seedy establishments in South London and he has recently been awol from Charlton and spending too much time for my liking at various other sporting clubs

We can support both our own club and the smaller clubs - home at Charlton every other week, then away to teams within travelling distance, and on spare weekends in between we have a choice of Welling, Dartford, Ebbsfleet etc. Kind of interested in seeing Dulwich Hamlet as well coz heard some good stuff about them.
Good performance and result for welling against Bristol Rovers this afternoon. Drew 0 0 and could have even nicked it at the end (so could Bristol though)

Increased expectations I guess. Isn't Gritty his assistant? I wonder where it leaves him?

I make it they are still unbeaten over 90 minutes this season.
