Yep....Hendon v Westfield for me. Hendon are still trying to get to grips with last season's relegation and Westfield are 2nd in the league, 8 points clear of 3rd place. Times are hard and an attendance anywhere north of 250 would be seen as a success.R0TW said:Anyone going today?
just a reminder that all games start at 3.03 as part of the three up campaign.0 -
Saw Aaron Henry flatter to deceive today for Hornchurch in a 5-0 hammering at Worthing. Tried to chip the keeper from kick-off when they were 5 down and that was about it from him.1

I returned to Erith Town, a 1 - 3 loss to Hastings Utd.0

Looking at the Isthmian League fixture list, I'm surprised looking at the Christmas fixtures, that this season the games are being played on the regular Saturdays (i.e. the 27th December and 3rd January) rather than on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Seems odd to not have Dartford vs Welling on Boxing Day.
Looking at the National Leagues, they play on Boxing Day, then midweek (generally the 30th) and then Saturday 3rd again, so again no NYD game.1 -
I remember when it was posted earlier when they met. A boxing day Welling-Dartford would be a good festive fixture on Boxing Day, and I'd expect a good attendance. I believe the actual fixtures are Chatham-Dartford and Brentwood- Welling? Not really the same in my opinion.0

And on the 27th not on Boxing Day. I wonder if someone decided that they could get bigger crowds on the Saturday. Or maybe it's cheaper to play on Saturday than Boxing Day?ken_shabby said:I remember when it was posted earlier when they met. Seeing as there’s no EFL games on 27th, I’m guessing they’re hoping for bumper crowds0

I think Sky Sports moved them to enhance their soccer Saturday.0

Morecambe takeover figure accused of terrorism involvement
A man who promised "discipline, trustfulness and compassion" to Morecambe fans when fronting Panjab Warriors' takeover of the club has been sanctioned by the UK government over accusations of involvement in terrorism.
Gurpreet Singh Rehal was one of the key figures behind the takeover deal.

Sadly action is required to deal with some of the unruly yoof who've been causing problems at non league matches.0 -
Haven’t Dartford been getting a bit of a rep for that lately too?0

Yes. I guess it's easier to restrict the away yoof...AFKABartram said:Haven’t Dartford been getting a bit of a rep for that lately too?0 -

Misbehaving under 16s causing aggro seems to be the problem. I'd forgotten about it, but I had been to Dartford's game at St Albans earlier in the season, and a small group of Dartford yoof stayed down the "home end" instead of swapping ends at half time, resulting in some aggro in the second half.Arsenetatters said:

In this case it's St Albans yoof which are the problem, though according to this St Albans board, it's Watford yoof causing the trouble!

One of the local ish teams we visit is Corby, decent crowds and fairly large stand to use if it's wet , sadly after a couple of good seasons they've hit finance troubles, manager already gone and players asked to take 30% pay cuts, don't like to see small clubs struggle like this.1

Been playing up for a while mate. Large youth lot. Although a few are now in the covered end as they got older. Little rascals.AFKABartram said:Haven’t Dartford been getting a bit of a rep for that lately too?0 -

Free entry at Dover yesterday and a crowd of 4,227 but a 5-2 defeat.Down the road another big crowd at Folkestone (1,286) and another goal by Joe Pigott who is far too good for that level. Eleven wins on the bounce for Invicta and 11 points clear at the top of the Isthmian Premier.0

They did mate - quite the set to after the game with the youth. With the young Darts coming out on top.ElfsborgAddick said:Greenhithe said:
