No, him and Ashby go with Jamie Day.

Welling speaking to candidates as I type.
  • Phoenix go top of the league with two games I n hand after beating Erith & Belvedere 1-0 today.
  • Went to Hendon v Wingate today. The referee made yesterday's ref look good (no exaggeration). There was also a fight in the club bar afterwards.
  • Fans or players
  • Bromley vs Wealdstone tomorrow, Bromley could go top with a win I think.

Yes, the Wealdstone Raider will be there.

    Wow ££££££££
  • A lot of faith being put in Jamie Day it seems, that's a seriously good signing at that level.
  • Acworth will be disappointed
  • Some good news stories in local non league...

Erith & Belvedere through to the last 16 of the FA Vase, having defeated Yaxley 1-0 this afternoon.

Phoenix Sports through to the last 16 also, beating Bodmin 2-0 yesterday.

Tunbridge Wells in the draw for the last 16 too. Replay against Highworth Town in the last 32 is next Saturday.

Three teams from the SCEFL through to the last 16 would be quite something!

Huge win for Dulwich Hamlet away to Margate yesterday in the Ryman Prem.
  • Went Bodmin yesterday, great result, great performance, Phoenix's defence is unbelievable and have a keeper who comes and claims everything, last 16 on 7thFeb.Got back at 1.45 this morning.

Indeed - Phoenix don't let goals in, it's amazing how they keep doing it. Must have been some journey back after the game!

  • The players and most of the others stayed down Friday and Saturday night in Newquay, I had to get back for kids football today, so got train back.

You certainly made a better choice than the 2,000+ poor souls who went to Watford.

  • Yep, goin Wolves next week though.

Any players that you think could step upto Conference levels?

Annoyingly Hamlet lost at home on Tuesday, despite dominating. They are now third, equal on points with 2nd place Margate and a good bet for the playoffs (only 1st go up automatically).

Not to sure mate, they have fantastic team spirit, with no real superstars.

After losing Oztumer in the summer their season has surprised me. They now seem second favourites behind Maidstone - the two play each other in the penultimate game of the season, could be interesting!

Also I must correct myself - Ashford still in the FA Vase too - could be four SCEFL teams in the last 16.

  • Margate are paying huge wages this season, some feat to beat them at theirs.

Have not seen them too much this season but they seem a more rounded side, relying less on one outstanding player. They only have a few players from last season, like a lot of non league a lot of players changed in the summer

They still don't have a goal-scorer. Ottaway tries hard and shows glimpses but looks like he needs a partner. But the goals are shared out a bit and are normally created by the wingers. Vidal from midfield (I think Charlton were looking at him) has got a great shot and gets a few goals. Also the new right-winger, Wanadio, looks very bright.
