Just noticed that they barely scraped 20,000 home! Atmosphere sounded good though, until you realised there was probably only about 100 blokes singing from the bottom left of the Homesdale (what are they called, the Pampers Ultras or something?!) which Sky obviously had well miked up.

Shame we can't have have our choir in the lower tier of the CE - make such a difference to the atmosphere. Be like the days of the old covered end! Might actually hear us on TV instead of just the JS Stand - particularly annoying when its filled with Millwall as will be the case in a few weeks.

Spurs have spent a lot this summer, over £60m net? I wonder how much of that money is Bale money, seeing that they don't have the CL income of the top 4 clubs

but they do have a billionaire owner who appreciates that for the club to go truly stratospheric, money needed to be spent irrespective if Bale goes or not

Even if they'd won he would still have come out with something like that, it's part of his "us against the world tactics" and it's a mentality he has to build in the Palace dressing room.

Someone should remind Holloway that the last time Spurs won a penalty in the Premier League before yesterday was May 2012 so we were well overdue one...

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has been charged with improper conduct and bringing the game into disrepute by the Football Association.
It follows comments made after his side's match against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Palace lost the game 1-0 to a Roberto Soldado penalty awarded by referee Mark Clattenburg after Aaron Lennon's cross struck Dean Moxey's outstretched arm.
Holloway has until 16:00 BST on 23 August to respond to both charges.
The FA said in a statement: "Firstly, it is alleged that Holloway's language and/or behaviour in or around the match officials' changing room at the end of the game amounted to improper conduct.

"Secondly, it is alleged that Holloway's post-match media comments questioned the integrity of the referee and/or match officials and/or implied that the referee and/or match officials were motivated by bias; and/or brought the game into disrepute."
Holloway argued the officials missed a foul against Palace in the build-up to the penalty being awarded.
Sunday's match marked the manager's first game in the Premier League since being relegated with Blackpool on the final day of the 2010-11 season.
And in his post-match interview, the 50-year-old told BBC Sport: "It's going to be a long, hard season for me with these people [referees].
"I had this with Blackpool. Certain clubs get fouls and others don't."
