Unbelievable. I was at a Thai Boxing tournament in a small village, standing behind some monks who looked a bit surprised, and amused, at my reaction every time I checked the phone to see another goal had been scored.
Just had my piece of humble pie with a cuppa. Never in a million years did I see that coming. That's really made my day. So proud of those boys tonight. Hats off to Chris Powell and his team. Can't wait to see the goals on the TV tonight.
Sat watching SSN with my son laughing with delight and bemusement.
So pleased for anyone who made the trip and all the players but especially Salim Kerker. Have felt like an lone voice championing him but he's worked his way back into the side and now got a goal.
Also delighted for the "clueless clown". For the second game a sub came on and scored and this is a guy who is so tactically naive he doesn't know how to make a sub : - )
All season Powell has searched for that holding DM to allow the rest of the midfield to play and to protect the back four. Johnsson, Frimpong, Rasik, Dervite, Hollands, Pritchard all tried there but didn't work. Gower and Rouamba too but the man he was looking for was here all the time, just hiding in the treatment room. Andy Hughes is the man.
There will be a lot of "only if" regrets. If only we'd taken more than 1 point from the four south London derbies, if only we hadn't let leads slip v Birmingham and Sheffield Weds but every team will be able to point to similar. If only Yann, or Hughes, or Fuller had been fit but they weren't and other teams had injuries. If only Powell has left Solly at RB and trusted Ceddy earlier but it is easy to manage from the stands.
Really good to update on the match thread the last 4 games....
Would be interesting to analyse what changes to the team has been brought by CP (or simply a mental wake up? ) over these games
I think there is a change in atmosphere at the club now that we are driving clear of the relegation pack. I know it's crazy but we can still make sixth if we win all and Bolton / Forest win 2 + lose 2. I trust that we can put to bed all those stories of being a League 1 squad before we get to Wembley!
Just saw the goals on SSN (they'll be repeated between 7-8pm).
#1: Good anticipation by Pritchard on the rebound. #2: Quality skill by Jackson took their defender completely out of the equation. #3: Incredible cross from Wiggins from Kermo's header. The kind of cross we've been missing all season. #4: Harriott piledriver from outside the area spilled into the net by their keeper. #5: Kerkar on the spot to slide home from inside the area. #6: Fuller with a classy finish curled just inside the post from the edge of the D.
Second red was 100% nailed on. First red was borderline yellow/red based on the decisions this season. Some refs would've given it, some not.

Let's finish on a high,
Great post, Henry .
Forget the "if onlys" and rejoice in what's been achieved today and see it as a springboard for next season.
Great players, great manager & undoubtedly a great Club .....OUR Club !

Jason Scotland Hat Trick.
I'd take that score, but Watford, Brighton and Leicester could only manage 1 goal between them, unless we have an off-day I can't see Charlton doubling that.

If it was that easy then it wouldn't be Charlton! This has been a transition year and much harder for the club and fans than last season. But the football and the result is so much more satisfying - I think 90% chance of our best finish since 2007. And we all know there is a possibility of more glory next season if...

Really glad to see the hard work of the youngsters, squad and coaching/support staff/management pay off so emphatically. Take a bow, all of you!
