I have no time for young twats wearing my teams colours and allegedly supporting that team smashing up other clubs grounds and running up and down the roads around that ground smashing up cars belonging to people living there. But that's what has happened today.......it's a game of fucking football you pea brained little idiots.

You sound like a right barrel of laughs. Why not trŷ slagging off the Nigel's rather than your own. Weird.
Maybe you didn't notice, but you just slagged of one of our own. Or doesn't it count when you do it?

You don't go much ME14. Maybe that's a good thing considering how miserable it makes you.

I watch every home match and I love doing so! It is the actions of moronic idiots that make me miserable.

You're the weird one if you condone that type of action and think that it's a laugh.

we know how to smash a toilet up thats for sure!
  • Two in front of me today, spent the WHOLE game making hand gestures at the Palace fans, one of them was unfortunately next to me at the Millwall game and proceeded to try and wrench his seat off at the end of the game!!!!......Doubt will see them at Hull though........They paid £32 fot that........I weould loke to have dumped the pair of thgem with the Palace fans and said 'now do your hand gestures'.....
  • sorry....i would have liked to.......too much haste to post....
  • A lot of people posting that didn't go today and haven't been to away games for a long while.

Thought it was the best away support for ages.

    Stay at home eh.

Some of us who don't travel away probably do so because they don't want to get caught up with idiots with flares/smoke bombs, throw seats, mess up toilets and who cause damage to other people's property. I want to know that I can get to a match, watch it safely (sitting down) and get home again safely. I'm all for supporting the team but all the stupidity that seems to go with some of the away matches just isn't worth the hassle.
And how often does this happen. I have been following Charlton away for 30 years and I can count on one hand
  • Did i miss anything today .??,

  • Well it seems i missed the show again :), i will have to make sure i get to the Palace/Millwall games next season.

Palace away happened, a lil snippet of the seating. Quite mild compared to some of the stuff.

  • wooden seats?!! f*ck me i thought they got rid of them by now.
  • Must have been rotten and fallen apart

    Lucky they weren't thrown

I must say it's quite an improvement. Not my photo by the way.
  • Those are the original seats and must be 50 plus years old. Irreplaceable those!

If anything it's done them a favour. They can save a few quid on the labour costs when they finally decide to put some proper seats in

  • Didn't go today but just want to remind people...

    All/most clubs have thug/hooligan supporters...whether that's a high or low percentage

All/most clubs have fans that moan too much

All/most clubs go a bit extra nuts on derby day

Of course it's disappointing for people to see acts of stupidity like people vandalising etc but I doubt it's a sudden 'new breed' of supporters.

Good work by the Charlton health and safety team ripping out those fire hazards. Whole ground needs to be torn down really though.
  • They should all be ripped out, crap seats, crap ground, crap club
  • So do you understand what Palace away means ? Do you really ?

I can't justify some of the things that happened outside the ground after the game today, but I know where I'm pointing my finger first and it isn't towards our own. Treat people like animals and see what you get.

SE9 - same excuse paedophiles use mate. Always someone else's fault. Reason I left Modern Britain 19 years ago and will never make it my permanent home again.

A bad call by the police commander does not excuse wanton vandalism of innocent people's property.

Country went to the dogs years ago. Shame to see my football club's 'fans' going the same way now.

    Genuinely mental...
  • It seams like we are attracting a bunch if moronic idiots at away games now , they can call themselves what they like butI think it will only end in tears ( and convictions ) . I don't like it one little bit.

I'm pretty sure the first line of the second paragraph said that what happened outside couldn't be justified.

Don't start with all that "this countries going to the dogs" bollocks, get it in perspective, you would have seen way worse in the 70/80's - just a shame police tactics don't seem to have moved on in that time.
  • Me 14

Your not going to win against some of these idiots, there is no need for aggro at any match, and i dont condone violence especially from Charlton fans, but these heroes wouldnt turn up if they were offered a punch up with the opposition at a pre-determined place away from us regular fans, who go to the match to support their team, much easier to rip out seats and vandalise cars where the likelihood is you wont get caught.

Just hope that a few of you who did, will get a knock on your door this week and get a few years behind bars.
  • Fair play to those who had the hump with the poor policing(has it ever been different over there for our away trips) and decided to go back inside and break them seats up or did they pre empt it ....
Will Charlton have to fork out for the damage done ??
Not that whoever forks out for it makes a difference to the fact that its a bit OTT and weird , what have those poor seats done to deserve that, I mean its only palace not millwall ffs
  • RE - the picture of the ripped out seats

I would have thought it would be quite simple to identify the location of those seats and who occupied them by going to the club and see who purchased them, then the police can look at CCTV footage and identify them from there.

No doubt our brave heroes werent in those seats and didnt have the bravery to do their own for that reason, but some poor other bugger will get the blame.
  • Thing is Palace fans just don't hate us the way we seem to them. Their beef is with Brighton.

Unrequited footy 'hatred' and our pathetic reaction to defeat just makes them look down at us even more.

I personally abhor Palace but we lost so man up, shuffle out quietly and go home without making a scene.

Thanks for the helpful advice but a bunch of kids won't stop me watching the club I love.
