the thing is we know nothing. There could be money coming in from somewhere or TJ could be saddling us with debt we can't afford. Until we get more information, if we ever do, all we can do is speculate, evaluate information from various sources and make what judgements we individually want to make based on that.
Now money seems to be being spent although we don't know that (speculation again) as we don't know how much of Frimpongs, Seabourne or Jonssons wages we are paying. We have also shipped out players such as Hollands and Sullivan.
And of course we shouldn't assume any expenditure is up front. The idea that TJ is bankrolling the Fuller deal is fanciful. More likely he's a risk in the hope of jam tomorrow.
Wouldn't surprise me if Frimpong costs us very little.
And suggesting that the rumours of cash flow problems in the summer were simply the invention of one random who duped everyone is simply wrong. I think it's pretty evident that there were issues, but recent events certainly suggest that these have stabilised for the moment. Whether it's a long term solution we will have to wait and see.
The rumours of cash flow problems were the invention of more than one random person, I agreee.
The rumours that were jumped upon were never more than that. Staff not getting paid? Not one didnt get paid on time in my knowledge. Investors jumping ship? Not one as far as I know? Staff leaving mysteriously? From what I know only one is seeking redress for the way they left. No money being spent? Well the list of players CP had he got all that were either available or not asking obscene amounts of money. Solly leaving because of money? I'm sure he is still playing for us.
I'm still not quite sure the problems purported werent the figment of peoples imagination.
I believe you know as well as I do that at least one of your own statements is untrue, but that for legal reasons we cannot go further than that in this forum.
I'm also interested to know why you think those concerned would want to create 'figments of imagination" of that type. Don't you think those concerned were not, in May, like everyone else, basking in the glow of a brilliant promotion, a fine manager, and looking forward to a nice summer /Olympic break before taking on the new league? Why would they want to torture themselves by making up such nonsense? And why didn't they behave the same way in the previous close season, which after all had ended far less positively?
Or do you simply subscribe to Southendaddick's view that we are just a group of attention-seekers?
Is Kevin Cash back on board? Or new investment?.Into the valley forum says this.
just had a gander and they seem to be convinced cash was never not involved but he stopped putting his money in, but apparently TJ has found some one else to do that. Part of me wants this to be true but i think its just wishful thinking considering we've won 3 games on the run. Plus they seem to suggest the new investor is zabeel, who, tbh although they're not broke are in no position to buy a football club
Cash back in the game would be a good thing IMHO at least in the short term.
As was being said on here as long back as the summer Cash hadn't left, just stopped funding the losses. This was proved by his front man, Slater, still being on the board where he can protect his interest.
If he now willing to pump money in then that would explain Frimpong and Jonnson. I just some money goes into getting the academy through it's cat 1 assessment and to paying for the mundane but important bills owed to local businesses.
Another story from an unreliable source was that there is new, outside money sniffing around but even if true we know from Zebeel that a deal isn't done until it is done.
As someone once said "I'll believe it when it is on the OS"
I'd like to know if he he was ever "in the game", as there's never been a single mention of Mr Cash on the OS...

his point is valid though, there was never any concrete evidence to back up what was being said. We improved the squad after all.

Mr PA
Firstly I know for a fact that all my statements are true otherwise I wouldnt have written them.
I was not suggesting for one minute that anyone was attention seeking I just have the opinion that some rumours got out of hand and became fact.

Have they asked you to be chairman then, too, Brunello?
Brunello said 'From what I know only one is seeking redress for the way they left.' That's not a fact either is it, it's just an opinion you have formed? That's what everyone has been doing. You may of course decide that some people have invented things, these naughty figments of the imagination, but the salient question remains, why would hitherto loyal and reasoned supporters do that?

Mr Slater would be proud of that formulation, Brunello. Well done.

The lack of gratitudes during the departures of these senior figures at Charlton speak volumes, regarding the "terms", in which they left and if you can't see that then you clearly don't want to.

Still not doing a bad job the majority would have taken where we are now 2 years ago as for the truth do you think all the companies using tax avoidance schemes told there investors probably not but the investors still reaped the rewards :-))
Sad imo fans can't enjoy the club doing well as people want to know the ins and outs of a ducks arsehole, Yes respected people lost their jobs (rightly or wrongly, only a few care ) but the club was being run into the ground (and now without biased behind the scenes views) we are on the up for christs sake enjoy it because i can assure you in my 40 years supporting the club football has a way of biting you in the arse. Enjoy the good moments cos theres plenty of bad ones.
Actually Brunello, I owe you a qualified apology. Technically the phrase you used, which bothered me, is correct. Or may be correct now, even if it previously wasn't. So let me modify my assertion to one that you are being deliberately disingenuous.
And I wonder why you feel the need to do so. Had you said that we had been misled by some information, or took an overly pessimistic view based on those chunks of information, I might have swallowed that. Had you said that you understood why we believed certain things (e.g players are human beings too, and they have tongues), but the worst case scenarios didn't actually take place, then I readily concede that you are right.
But no, you choose to say that a group of us (do you believe we all know each other, BTW? - you'd be wrong) made it all up. That makes me unhappy. And it doesn't help those who wish to say "let's move forward to a better way to run a club, with fans who participate more, understand the financial realities and shoulder more of the financial burden". A move forward which actually takes us back close to the model that took us from near liquidation to 7th in the Premiership.

The club was run into the ground by the previous board, although I'm not saying it was his fault. It was turned around last season under the new board, yes, but by Varney and Kavanagh, who did not have these roles 2008-2010. A very important part of last season was covering the losses and I don't minimise that at all, but it was PV and SK who did the work last season and that wasn't running the club into the ground, was it?
I dont think our opinions differ too much believe it or not but I never have said people make things up and if that was what I wrote or inferred then I apologise. It was about 3.30 in the morning!! What I thought I said was that it worried me that rumours became fact. The problem with that is now poeple are now suggesting there has been a huge change when perhaps it is feasible that things werent so awry in the first place.

Fair enough sir. Thank you, apology accepted, and I in turn accept your final remark. I certainly want it to be true.

No.
Did news international tell all their investors about phone tapping?
