Haven't had / got time to read anything today but yes, that was a fantastic night's entertainment - please, please , please let Haynes not be injured again - what a difference he makes. So pleased for all of us, CP and the club in general - onwards and upwards - i think last night wasa watershed moment anda reminder that we can be the 12th man again, like we once were.
Amazing game last night. Our first goal was the game changer, we seemed to gain confidence and particularly Stephens and Jackson looked like completely new players. Powell's expression at the end was probably due to his dismay at the added 6 minutes and also how we conceded the two late goals.
mental mental match pretty empty in the NWQ, basically just a few lunatics had turned up to the asylum atrocious defending all round and i don't think i'll recover from that for a long time haynes was awesome tonight his pace had em worried just don't think he has the greatest touch but at that pace it's impossible and he deserved his goal in those horrendous 2 mins at the end fairplay to hamer he was coming for everything cos the centre halves had disintegrated by that time and although he didn't make proper connections he got enough on the ball to stop them from getting too near the goal
at the end i felt a bit weird and shattered like when we won the play off final, if we had drawn last night i think it could have had a lasting impact of the bad variety on our season
support was top notch but that should happen even if the hardcore are diluted down for certain matches
great result but moving on very nervous for sunday

Seen a few people question SCP about putting Morrison at RB. Well, who else was going to play there? Apart from JJ (who got 2 goals from the midfield).
An inexperienced Morgan Fox is probably your best bet at filling in at LB. I completely see the logic behind the selection.

Keep Solly ar RB and leave well alone instead of moving two defenders Morrison and Solly to accommodate Dervite. This had a knock on effect IMO of unsettling Cort (who never had the best of games v Boro) with a new CB partner and Hamer whoose defence in front of him is constantly being shuffled. I would have played Dervite LB failing which Kerkar or Jackson with Dervite in front of the Back 4. Great win last night nevertheless but 8 goals conceded in two games is hard to take when defence had been our strong point until last Saturday. Loan left back now an absolute priority for Sunday at Bristol.
A big 'Well Done' to Chris Powell and Alex Dyer. Yet again they have had to shuffle the pack, and, although the defending was somewhat hap-hazard, the team was spirited in abundance. Some of our play was excellent. How hugely important it was that J.J. got us in at half time at 'evens'. I reckon that Cardiff, having been so poor away from home, felt almost beaten as they came out for the second half. Our players went at them from the re-start and, boy, did they impress! All season we've had an annoying tendency to over-hit passes and free kicks, but with the excellent Danny Haynes playing wide / up front, the big pass turns into a goal opportunity. He gave us a new dimension and should be applauded.
Finally, just in case anyone in the Boardroom, who may be under the notion that CAFC requires a different manager, is reading this, please let them consider that: Chris Powell is the embodiment of what CAFC is all about. We don't want snarlers and whingers and under-hand wheeler-dealers. We do want integrity, decency, approachability, and, most of all, someone who 'fits' our club. That man is Chris Powell.
The support from the stands was superb. Let's do this at every game and let anyone who is thinking of changing things know that Chris Powell is the fans' choice for the stewardship of our football club.
hulse was booked for a challenge on their right back second half near the lower north and west stand corner wasn't he ?could not quite see what that was about

Correct. I think Hulse was fed up with enduring numerous pushes and pulls and seemed intent on hurting their player who was shielding the ball as it was drifting out of play. Hulse was so late he could have been mistaken for Paul Scholes. I could be wrong but it seemed to be the only malicious foul all night - can't blame Rob though, he'd had his fair share of rough treatment from their centre halves and maybe the right back was due some retribution.

Powell plays Morro at RB and Solly at LB - 5-4 win (feat THREE assists from Kerkar in midfield)
And yet people are still slating Powell for putting out that back four. Blimey..
