don't know exactly but anyway it's more the point as to how long she has been around. Previously the Supporters Club, in the shape of Wendy, organised the away travel and now the Club runs it, in the shape of Wendy. Don't think for one minute that it's just a case of taking bookings, booking a coach and Bob's your uncle, sorted. Logistically it can be a nightmare, and more so the Valley Express, and in Rick and Wendy they have lost two people who know it inside out. They can't be easily replaced and, worse, may not be replaced, who knows. If the Club decided to stop away travel there is no Supporters Club to take the baton and run it and if it decided to drop Valley Express, which in my opinion would be sucidal, then they would be bigger fools than I imagined.
She told us that she would be leaving on or about the 15th. I will get in touch with her and find out. One very positive thing that will cheer us up is that she sounded a whole lot happier and almost relieved. It's a very sad day when such a loyal person ends up happier because she is about to leave the Valley but sign of the times an' all that.
Must Thank Wendy (& Ben & many others) who supported Me during the mid 90's. Without people like these the world would be a lot worse than it is now (and I genuinely mean that). Thank You again Wendy and good luck with the future.
