I'm sure such a forthright and outspoken person would happily identify themselves and debate their views openly without hiding behind a different user name on another site.
I was a guest only on CAFCBabes, that person on there should not have put them things about airman etc on there that are not true.If they have got a problem with CL or a member on here come over here. The matter is now closed in future I will only post what I think about our club not quote from other message boards.
There will be no more info from inside the Club. The staff have been gagged!
My source said he couldn't give me any info or he'd risk losing his job and this was ages ago (Check Rumours Rumours thread). Was this a sign that something had been happening for a long time?
Not ITK just a fan for many a year. My view on things. Last year was fantastic, brilliant squad, great team spirit, great fans, great management, club moving forward, finished champions. Board sat down to discuss this coming season. It was complicated. There was a a division between directors about the next step. Mr X wanted to move forward. Mr Y wanted to consolidate. Mr Z wanted a return on investment. Mr P wanted whats best for club. Mr U wanted to sign new players and Mr E wanted to know when the Who would be playing again at the Valley. Stalemate. Board has reshuffled in the interests of the club and we are now moving forward. Its only Charlton Athletic, that has such an interesting history. Can we now look forward to this season and hope that any changes in the boardroom are beneficial to this great club we care about.
I am sooooo glad that the football starts tomorrow and we can get back to moaning about the players instead of each other, the directors and the Mysterons.
I've always been of the opinion that Slater was a board representitive of one person/group and Jimenez a representitive of another person/group. Matters came to a head recently. Not sure why,but maybe it was over the shares that recently became available.A power struggle ensued with both persons/groups laying claim to the available shares. At one stage the person/group represented by Jimenez threatened to walk away, hence a possibility why the Spain friendly venue was changed. Eventually the person/group represented by Slater decided to concede these shares to the Jimenez person/group as they knew that, going forward, their(Jimenez) financial clout would be needed to get to where all persons/groups wanted to be. Now I think we all have a very good idea who at least one of the people represented by Slater is.And for that person to concede a large share of the club to the other party would suggest to me that Jimenez's people are considerably wealthier and also why he is so keen to keep a lid on who they actually are.
Just my opinion of course. Probably all ballcocks!
This is pretty much my view. People ask why do we think that TJ and MS have different backers? Well I would change that around. Why originally would a mystery backer donate funds to allow TJ to hold 28% of the shares and MS 23% - it doesn't make sense to me?
Surely if hypothetically Kevin Cash was the main mystery backer, why wouldn't he put his money all in the hands of MS who would then have been sitting with 51% with 49% sitting with minority shareholders some or all of whom were funded by KC.
It seems much more likely that TJ had his own dosh probably from another backer or backers and he persuaded KC to put up the majority of the funding - MS 23% plus a most of the 49% (other than the 9.8% that was Newalls).
What we see now could indeed be a power struggle with TJ eventually wrestling a much larger stake but still not the majority.
I hope it is good news but you can't carry on ignoring that people had been saying for weeks that there were problems, that there had been changes at the top and that these were causing at best cash flow problems and at worst threatened the stability of the squad and club.
Now when official news comes out that the doubters asked for (and what a great way to let the fans know) some are still refusing to see even the sightest cause for concern.
If you find a lump ignoring won't change the fact that it is a lump. The doc may give you good or bad news but you just can't pretend it aint there.
My dear Sir
I realise everyone is beholden to what you say as you are one of those ITK but this is a load of rubbish. The only negative that has come out that is most probably true is that there were cash flow problems. I am sure cash flow problems occur in every business, they do mine and I woud like to bet a pound to a lump of shite that these same problems have occured nearly every month within the club for the last ten years, even in the Premiership. It's what happens. For some, like me, not to go down the 'lets believe the doom merchants' doesnt deserve the derision handed out by you. I happen to have a different opinion. I am 100% positive about all that has happened recently and none of the rumours have dented that. To me the change in shareholding is a new injection of funds and one I was told would be looked for in the Championship at least a year ago. Because my maths doesnt quite reach the standard of 2+2=5 doesn't mean I am not allowed an opinion and nor other/s who share my views.
Ok, Im happy now.....shame you didnt say anything earlier....Hope youre well mate.
Clearly we have many fans on here who if they won the lottery would use it all to buy shares in the Club. They would not be concerned if they ever got their money back. If the money was wasted they would mortgage their house if they had to to raise more cash. If their children were dying and the money was needed they would not sell shares as they might fall into the wrong hands and would show there was no passion for the club. Having passion for the Club is the only criteria for being a shareholder so only CL members will be allowed to own shares. I've no idea why shares gave changed hands and frankly don't care. TJ now has a controlling interest by voting with any other shareholder. All that matters is cash flow and if the changes have produced the required funds can't see much wrong with any one's motives. Shareholders reading this thread will be smiling in disbelief at the rubbish being spouted. The idea an Investor does not want success for the business he funds is ridiculous. Yes it's a business as well as a football club or it wouldn't exist at all.

This does make sense. I couldn't see why KC would have 2 front men, unless there is some sort of company regulation that requires any shareholder owning an outright majority to be re transparent as to identity?
There's nothing any of us can do to change the current situation.
So why are there so many people having a pop at TJ despite what he help deliver last season? If he/they don't want to keep us in the loop it's up to them - but to slag off a man/men who have quite obviously invested heavily in the Club, serves no purpose whatsoever.
Raise concerns for sure, but don't knock people just because of your concerns, when all you have is hearsay.
