I have the minutes from the previous meetings along with some other docs, I'll bring them down on Tuesday as I really think looking at some lessons learned from last time is the best way to approach this.
Count me in, from a distance. Will do whatever I can.
If I could just say one thing for now, I think the reason why we need this is to lessen the chances of future kerfuffles. The current one is already happening, we're too late to address that. We need it in the same way as every other club needs one.
Need to rearrange a few things, but will be there if I can do that. Will be in in any case.
Just a thought...heard a woman from Bradford Bulls supporters on Sky Sports a few minutes ago. The team are in a lot of trouble as some of you may know, the supporters are organising themselves, but she mentioned that they were looking at the possibility of using their existing trust to get themselves a head start.
Don't we have that already with Valley Gold? The set-up is in place, the infrastructure to communicate & raise awareness further. I'd certainly consider having my £10 / month channelled in a different way, for a time, it meant say raising funds for the present. This will obviously need an agreement with ALL VG members, but just a thought as I say.
As a few have already said, I think this needs to be something to ensure we are ready to help/intervene, rather than needing a set agenda. We don't know the full story, it seems fluid, so we need to make sure that we can be adaptable too.
Charlton Athletic Supporters Trust « Thread Started Today at 10:18am » Been mentioned on CL and I agree. I stood and watched the same thing happen here at Wrexham and lads that I used to play football against now actually run the club!!!. They were the supporters club back then.
Can somebody put my link on CL for me and tell them they can get in touch with me on here because I can talk to the Wrexham guys any day of the week as I know them all and I am sure they can pass on any advice or experiences they had on the road to taking over the club that they love.
Don't want to delay further, but don't let that put you off
OK razil. I will be there Tuesday, at a venue confirmed by you. It may be that only a handful of us actually turn up, but I (barring the seriously unforseen) intend to make it.
So far:
Seth Plum NLA Dick Plumb Guinness addick danny addick razil roseandcrown se9addick alandugdale addickforlife mparsons Frank Gallagher AlexAnder Charlton Hero MOG
plus many more in spirit. (apologies if I missed you out or spelt your name wrongly)
Please feel free to add to this list and lets see how many we can turn out...not to create a baying mob, but to formulate a humble beginning to a force/pressure group/action group who may just make a positive difference somtime in the future.

matt None of us know what we can do at this stage, we're all in the same boat, but as they say, a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step. What I do know is that it will require some sort of actual action on the part of the participants. Two things flow from that, it is as important to be pro-active as to wait to be asked, and people should only offer what they can realistically do given the other demands they have on their time and attention.
It is very important that we understand what is needed from us as supporters and nothing is needed more than numbers right now
Agreed, I'll defo turn up AS LONG as im not working, i work evenings & every other weekend, but if the meet lands on my day off i'll certainly come along
I can't make it as live in Brighton and work is dictating I won't be able to come up on Tuesday, but am there in spirit and am up for assisting in some way in the future.
Oh i have to work untill 8.30 on Tuesday, How long is this meeting running for roughly? I can always try and attend after work. but will take me at least 30 mins to get to Charlton from where i work.
Either way if i cant make this specific meeting. If there's anymore and you need people to turn up, let me know and i'll certainly come long. I'm not sure how much help i can be on the financial side of things as i only work for M&S but im more then happy to donate money as if and when required. either way as i said in my previous post. just let me know and i'll do what ever i can to help.
matt nobody needs to feel awkward or guilty if they can't attend on Tuesday. We will all do what we can, and we may get off to a slow start, so be it. feeling our way forward ( even clumsily)is better than doing nowt. I am sure people will come and go, and help where they can, it will be a supporters trust (if indeed that is what is created) for everybody, no egos and no cliques.

Are the people who are '100% in' the same people who were 100% in last time there was action on this which didn't make it passed the second meeting. Words < Action

Wrong. It did make it past the second meeting.
And does it matter?
Actions do indeed mean more than words so lets see who turns up before having a dig at them.
I cannot make it living a little too far away these days but will be happy to contribute funds or do whatever is necessary when the time comes. Keep us all updated and we are all behind you
