Just finished Vikings Valhalla. This second series has really warmed up and looks set for a third season. If you were a fan of Vikings, you will enjoy this one.
Just finished the first season of Severance. Bizarre but really enjoying it. Only 9 episodes and less than an hour each. I recommend it if you like psychological thrillers.
Has anyone mentioned Kaleidoscope yet? Interesting concept that you can watch it in any order, not sure it works 100%. However, thoroughly recommend it.
does it still have a pathologist doing things that pathologists don't ever do?
Yes and this week we've got a police inspector and her adopted son in CID, investigating the death of the natural son's ex-wife, after dismissing the pathologists from the crime scene. It's absolute tosh, but I still watch every week out of habit.

I found it hard work, interesting concept maybe but it was an effort to watch
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but I started Extraordinary on Disney + today. Mad twist on the superhero genre. Set in London and following a girl who is trying to gain her "power" in a world where everyone gets one at 18.
Just binged 1899. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a brilliantly filmed entertaining story. It also amused me that it was shot in (at least) eight languages, so unless you're a polyglot you're gonna need the subs on. Mrs Stig didn't like it much though because it "left you up in the air". Even if you don't like the programme, the bonus 'making of' prog is well worth a a watch. It was almost entirely filmed in a studio in Berlin apart from the bits that were shot at Elstree and a NY studio, but you wouldn't think it. The technology they used was amazing.
I finished season one of Perry Mason and thought it was decent. It was a bit slow but kept me interested. I had watched the first couple of episodes back when it was first aired two years ago but didn't continue. I was a big fan of Boardwalk Empire and recently noticed its director Tim Van Patten also directed Perry Mason so I picked it up again and enjoyed it.
The fourth season of Succession will be out in late March as well as Perry Mason season two. Coincidentally both of them are HBO shows. I guess I'll watch them when all episodes are aired. I'd lose interest had I waited for each episode of Perry Mason season one every week instead of binging the complete season in one go.
I'll start Peaky Blinders (again) soon - watched the first three episodes before getting "distracted" by Twelve Monkeys😅 My mum binged all six seasons of Peaky Blinders last month and absolutely loved it. Shame there seems to be no season seven? But just a film to end the whole series?
It's a fantastic piece of British television at its very best. You will get so invested in some of the characters. Paul Anderson is the real standout for me, amazing performance ably backed up by Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy, not to mention the late Helen McCrory... got to mention Sophie Rundle as well (She was brilliant in Jamestown too).
Yes I'm sure I will! My mum couldn't stop bringing up the subject, talking about 'Shelby', 'Ada', 'the Jewish guy' etc. to me during those two weeks when she was binging the series. I just kept interrupting her saying 'NO spoilers coz I'm going to watch it!'
Sad that Helen McCrory passed away. Too young... I still remember seeing the news on this forum. When my parents and I were watching the first episode of the series last month, I told them the actress that played the aunt had already passed away. They were shocked.

Agreed it was an interest concept, I think they forgot to make a decent programme though. Having seen the reviews I think it was vastly overrated.

Only Murders in the building - Disney plus great serial killer / comedy series, the cast is great and a good little binge, done season one on Sunday, 2 seasons with the 3rd being filmed currently.
Finished this yesterday, didn't disappoint. Great cast which makes it, some good twists and its all a bit light hearted. Highly recommend for anyone who has Disney +
Happy Valley. Wow. I didn’t see Cawood and Tommy Lee Royce sharing that passionate kiss and eloping off to Marbella. Nor that bent Pharmacist going all Walter White and turning into the drug baron and wiping out half of the Lake District. BBC don’t half do surprise endings!!!
Btw for all of you yet to catch up, I’m only kidding. Not one of life’s cheerier series but a cracker nonetheless.

It’s set in West Yorkshire not the Lake District, just saying

Yeah, it was his home made nuclear bomb that he fired at the Lake District in revenge for a dodgy Chinese that he’d eaten there on holiday.

Flawless. TV drama doesn’t get any better.
