  • couldn't we have a coordinated and controlled invasion of two supporters at a time from each stand. let them run around a bit then go back to the stand. Then the next two can go from each stand and so on. Bit like how they control getting on a roller coaster.
  • What stance would the club take on half a dozen fans if they went on the pitch
  • Will Alonso be punished if he makes an appearence on the pitch?

None whatsoever - as long as they behave themselves.

As AFKA says upthread this is a standard thing sent out, if there is some violence/disorder they can impose a fine along with a "don't say we didn't warn you" first.

BFR, not sure what you are basing that on. Have you checked that with the club?

Previous pitch invaders have been arrested, taken to police stations and in some cases banned.

Not saying that is what would happen in every case but don't assume that if they "behave themselves" it would be OK. The act of going on the pitch itself is not permitted regardless of how people behave when they get there.

We can argue about whether that is right or wrong but that is the position.

  • The FA are absolute f*****g w*****s.
    farting wallabies

If anyone invades during/before the match then yes they will have their ST lifted and with good reason, I'm referring to a few people who go on the pitch after the match as they did at Carlisle.
  • amazig the FA are complete *******

No I don't know and the best thing is to enjoy if from the sidelines.

Given that most agree that we don't want the club to be fined, and more importantly want the presentation and lap of honour to take place, I would have no qualms in the club stating publicly that any supporter that runs onto the pitch will receive a ban from the ground next season as a minimum. As Henry has mentioned above, going on to the pitch and surrounding area is an arrestable offence that Charlton and Greenwich Police seem to have taken seriously in the past.

Now that we have secured promition, I fail to see what benefit or satisfaction anyone can derive from going onto the pitch at the Hartlepool game. I for one would rather show my appreciation to the players that have earned the title over the season walking round the pitch, than a small minority of supporters legging it across it!

If everyone is made aware of the repurcussions of stupid actions spoiling the day for the majority in the ground, then everyone knows where they stand. I appreciate that this seems on the extreme side, but for everyone's enjoyment it might unfortunately be necessary.

This. But rather than going back to the stands, each pair have to exit via the superstore. A fixed camera could be set up and photos could be purchased as they exit.
  • What stance will the club take if the pitch invades the stands?
  • This has got to be the most pointless thread we've ever had.

Nobody has said they are going to run on the pitch and people are still moaning.
  • I think you'll find the Anders Breivik thread was the most pointless.
  • pitch invasions are insane.

    how?

  • There really are some wet people on this thread, it is pc gone mad! If their is a pitch invasion it won't be the first and I am pretty sure it won't be the last one. Fair play to the people who went on the pitch at least their not part of the prawn sandwich brigade.

Health and safety, if we stuck to all the health and safety rules in life we would never get anything done! I shall be sitting in my hospitality box eating my sandwiches whilst waving my flag when CAFC scores.

  • Mind you don't have someone's eye out with that flag.

Just checking the health and safety rules on flags now mate,
  • I'll be smoking in the toilets.
  • Speaking of which there was some mentio of Woking havanas on the pitch at Brunton Park. Does the smoking ban extend to the pitch and does this therefore constitute 2 criminal offences?

I just do it in the stands.

  • I'll be smoking in the toilets.

i was thinking this whilst their focused on the stands

we can smoke in the toilets or the seats

I think the smoking of the cigars was after the ground staff had taken the goals down, therefore it wasn't a pitch, it was just an open space.
