No doubt people can be picky on here but the News Shopper do look to be courtiung controversy lately so they seem fair game to have a pop at if you ask me.
Can you really be serious? Haynes has obviously heard the boos as BWP went off Tuesday, mentioned it to another reporter so News Shopper has asked Powell his opinion and shared.
Just another advert for how picky some on here can be at times!
He wasn't booed by Charlton fans when he came off. Anybody who was there on Tuesday would know that.

Dan you can have a go, that is fine. I don't agree about the controversy thing either but it is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
Are you a Charlton fan NS? Just interested to know why you come on here. I don't really care one way or other what you write or whether you come on here or not but interested to know.
I'm not Dan no and have never claimed to be one. I support Everton as my dad was a season ticket holder there but I did watch quite a lot of Charlton as a kid when they played at Selhusr and Upton Park as it only used to cost a couple of quid to get in.
The reason I come on here is to post links to Charlton stories and reports on our website. I don't post links about other clubs here, just Charlton.
I must be wrong about the premise of the whole story being journalistic chite stirring dressed up as 'legitimate' questioning. Such a noble group of workers.
News Hopper has made a story out of something that is in truth a bit of a story. There are quite a few edgy supporters who make those involuntary tshh tshh noises and who urge BWP to get his finger out and chase the ball. BWP isn't scoring and I still don't know why that is. He left Twitter quite some while back but the supporters were, at that time, constantly singing BWP's praises at the matches, and have continued to do so, albeit less frequently. One possible scenario- perhaps BWP is casting around for something/someone to blame for his goal drought and the supporters are a soft target. I personally haven't heard any booing and IMO, if the story is kosher and accurately reported then it is Danny Haynes who needs to be challenged on this one.
We all know papers have to make something of a story think there are a few childish reactions to this story tbh.
You're right to a certain extent Dazzler but you expect a bit more bias from a local newspaper - bias towards Charlton rather than amplifying issues that may cause problems and the way the Millwall article was defended a few weeks back by NS was so disingenuous that they shouldn't expect a lot of respect on here.

Ah I see your bleating about me asking a legit question to CP about BWP isn't actually the issue at all, your real gripe is because you still have the hump about what the Millwall blogger wrote on our website a few weeks ago and what you feel was my disingenuous response to it. Jog on Bexley Dan. I have been on this forum for four years now and have had plenty of stick/banter/complaints and compliments in that time. I can take good and bad positive comments alike. Just for your info though I am not leaving just because you are a bit precious about what a Millwall fan said.
I heard some Charlton 'fans' at the station after the match on Tuesday speaking to each other saying 'what is the point in BWP playing, he is so lazy' and a load of other noise centred around laziness, and that he deserved to be booed off the pitch. From where I was sitting I didn't hear any booing.

As i've said NS, i don't care whether you stay or go. 'Jog on' - are you sure? Just about sums you up.
Last thing i'm worried about - i'm more concerned about the sausage casserole i've just eaten - it didn't seem 100% and i think it might come back to haunt me.
i think so - NS is used to it but he's getting a bit precious
Not in your league on that score Dan. You also whinge about the NS not being biased enough towards Charlton.
Perhaps you should ask yourself which papers actually attend these pre-match press conferences? There is someone from Radio Kent, someone from the News Shopper and ..... well, that's it most of the time.
Where are all these other papers then? They don't bother going is the simple answer to that.
im not that bothered about your article NS to be honest. I just think you've got a bit of a cheek coming on here and trying to publicize your story and then arrogantly defending against criticism. I'm sure you probably think that any reaction is a good reaction, but you're wrong - your insulting the people you are supposed to be building an affinity with and asking questions on behalf of.

calm down, calm down, calm down eh,eh,eh - you daft dosy duck egg. Kev Nolan was / is the man - you're an amateur.

I'm not insulting anyone and don't buy your 'any reaction is good reaction' line either. The original article is no different from any other gleaned from a press conference IMO and most of them haven't managed to cause any kind of stir the way this one has, nor do they seek to either. Some people on here think it was a negative subject to raise and to me that criticism is not something I've complained about once, so to claim I'm 'arrogantly' defending myself against it is laughable.
When Bexley Dan brings up the Millwall blog from a couple of weeks ago though that to me at least shows there is a slightly different agenda with the criticism from some people.
To clarify yet again why it came up though and was a legit question to ask - Danny Haynes said after Tuesday's game he was fed up of people moaning at BWP.
Are you suggesting then in future when issues like this come up they should be completely ignored and not raised at all in case it upsets people on here?

nah
boosbooze i could see pouring around the valley the other night , was from the beer pumps.I just think he's stating what he thinks when fans do boo - obviously journo's have pointed out that he's not scoring and Powell's replied.
Nothing to worry about.
