Just read in the Hartlepool programme that the only reason we have that kit is because we tried to buy them too late , so there was only a limited choice in the catalogue , so I doubt it will be the same in the 2013/14 season
Who cares about the shirt ......just to watch once again Charlton beating Arsenal at The Library made my day!
That Claus Jensen chip, Brownie scoring that header .....and a very lean, mean and quick Jason Euell slotting home the 4th. Anyone notice that smart attacking run by SCP in the 1st half?
And never a penalty - Feeeeesh won the ball cleanly; Henry went down like he'd been shot doing an Ashley Young.

When Claus scored that goal, I got a nosebleed and a fat lip from an old bloke sitting next to me. He was so excited, he jumped up to punch the air and caught me smack in the boat. He spent the rest of the game apologising. I was too elated to care........................
Have to say i was pretty underwhelmed by the first pictures of the new home kit, however if it is indeed the same template used for Barnsley's shirt this season (as has been suggested), it definitely looks much much better 'in action'! http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10309~2740046,00.html
I think it's admirable we continue to avoid booze and gambling, and loan sharks, in an environment where that's almost all that remains. Gone are the more wholesome days of The Woolwich, when other teams were yoghurts, photocopiers and soft toys (remember Pompey's cuddly TY heart?!)

I'm not sure I understand that, we won't be wearing the kit until July/August time, and how much time does it take to design a new kit - or even taking an existing one and adding a couple of swoops or bits of white trim to make it look different and less like the generic kit worn by a Sunday morning team?

I suspect the issue is about how many factories they have to make the kit, along with the fact that many teams will be looking to take delivery of their new kit at the same time. Remember that we don't want a few, we will want thousands, so any significant change from the kit that they can already make on the machines (or have in stock) is going to be difficult. We need to remember that they are not going to stop the machines making the hundreds of thousands of Man Utd, Arsenal and Barcelona shirts.

Like me, it's simple, effective and good to look at.

Although I appreciate we may not necessarily get the same red, even if it is the same shirt
I'm told it's a Charlton family style sponsor so not a betting company or a beer company.
