  • I have to say that I am unexcited about this one. I think it is disruptive. If we win or lose by a small margin, then fine, but the other options are not good. A draw means an extra game between the Sheffield games and a big defeat would be bad news. Fulham are a decent side and should win comfortably unless they field a very weak side or don't turn up to compete. Even a win is dangerous, in my view, as it can cause a distraction (maybe, we will draw a big team on Monday). Arguably, the two most important games of the season are coming up. If we lose both, promotion will be a whole lot tougher; if we get two good results (or even one), we will be making another big step in the right direction. I'd settle for a boring game losing 1-0, to be honest, with no bookings and no injuries.

    This ^
  • well you all come out for theses games because its a prem team, but you wont go sheffield wednesday away alot more important game?
Because playing a premier league team is more appealing..no brainer really.

Well I'm not a proper fan because I don't get drunk and abuse and bully those sitting and watching the game.

I also don't sing racist songs.

I apologise for my inadequacy but, have no fear, I won't be polluting any away grounds with my undesirable presence and conduct any time soon I doubt.

It's quite evident from the tone of this thread that people like me are not welcome at away matches and, in answer to OOh ah's and others banging on about lack of away numbers, I don't think I'm unique amongst Charlton fans.

  • Seriously considering staying in the pub at Victoria. Going down nicely. Doubt I'll be walking anywhere by 2.15.
  • Will we being seeing you at sheffiellldddd ! (Plastic fans)

    Sadly true.

It is ironically those that moan about others not going who make them feel unwelcome enough not to go. They may think that this is bollocks but it's true.

Get your shit away. Who said that? Who made that up? Dazza? Nah mate. I did. Nah Dazza dazza dazza. Get your shit away. Hahaha. That's my one. No it ain't. It's your turn. OH MY GOD THERE'S WEST BROM SUPPORTERS WALKING DOWN THE ROAD.
  • We should have separate sections on this forum. One for the real fans who go to loads of away games and one for the stupid plastic fans who never travel up to Carlisle. At least then I wouldn't have to read the 'yr nt a rl fan lik me bruv!!!!!!!!'. I'm only 21 so I missed out on a lot of the worst times for Charlton and I've only been to two (TWO??) away games this season. Those were Orient and Wycombe as well so I don;t even travel like a proper fan. I should be ashamed of myself. I can't afford a season ticket either because I just graduated and I'm still looking for a job, so by the end of the season I'll only have been to about 10 home games. I'm not going to Fulham either.

There's no point to any of this, I just want to identify myself to the real fans who I imagine will want to sacrifice me to the spirit of Sam Bartram or something. I dunno, whatever it is real Charlton fans do with the blood of the unworthy.

  • Good support today boys.

Thanks for your input on the thread

in answer to you len , i understand your dislike of going to away games due to the selfish nature of some of our fans but you can't tell me that our fans are any more cunty than any other set of fans , that's what i'm comparing us to all other football clubs

i pick and chose my away games now cos i have  a young family  and i take my 5 year old to some of them as well so have to be particularly careful

couldn't make today cos of family committments but two of my sisters went and said it was a good atmosphere

they are season ticket holders and hardly go away , i called them day trippers for going to todays game but they're not as touchy as the rest of the fraternity on here and understand that these things aren't that important and don't get worked up like the other plastics on here

  • The reason we lost was thanks to that 9 bob note dressed as batman, did you see him?

    P7 block he was in.
  • Hope all you plastic fans enjoyed your last away game untill we get another prem team!
If you're what a proper fan is them I'm delighted not to be in the same category as you. You sound like a twat

I saw him, the only thing I heard was him calling the officials c***. What did he do?

No but I saw someone throw a punch at someone else for asking his girlfriend to sit down.
  • Plenty of punches thrown in the end block which led to robocop wading in with batons!

Yer I was in P1 and it was below us, stewards rushed from nowhere and dragged 1 guy off.

Those 8 blokes waying in 1 fella 6 of them at least were not Charlton supporters and are a disgrace.

To the fella that got pinched outside by the old bill, I know you're on here mate, I hope you're ok because you had F all to do with it.

I don't want to say any more on it to be honest.
  • Cheers mate
  • Couple of pints at a sensible price then 3 points against a massive club, with a noisy away following. Get there if you can! Only one aim left now. Bring it on.
  • Even though we got beaten, was one of the higights of the season surely?!?
