Like most of you here im particularly looking forward to the large numbers of away support, plenty of beer and a good time had by all ........ I actually think we will do very well but will settle for whatever result as long as the players give a good committed performance and play to their best, cant complain after that.
As @plaaayer has been very quiet about where our seats are situated, then I'm most looking forward to turning up and finding we are in the block located in the.middle of the Thames !
Boys we all wanna stand, we all should be standing! Everyone seems to be saying how much they wanna stand so if say a sitter has 2 rows of standers in front they are'nt gonna say anything...
Would like stand but im middle-ish p3, good view though.

Being told to sit down by fans who never go away and are able to stand for 90 mins.
My thoughts exactly.
Yeah this always does my head in, you'll have never seen them at an away game before and you can bet your life you'll never see them at one again (unless we get Manchester United in the next round !).
Not to start this again but do you ever wonder whether there might be more people at away games if they knew they had a seat guaranteed which wasn't gonna be obscured by people standing?
I'm looking forward to being the underdogs for once & not having to "prove" ourselves like we have ben doing all season. I'm also hoping that given a fair wind, a decent ref and a bit of luck we may just surprise Fulham & their fans that not all League 1 teams are cloggers and that we have some pretty decent players (JJ, BWP, Hollands, Kermy, Wiggy etc)
Don't expect to win, but last year we held a albeit 2nd rate Spurs team to 0-0 at half time , before they brought the big guns on. This year we have a much better team and are playing a bottom half Premiership side. I remember all too clearly the times when we were in the Prem and playing lesser teams at The Valley (D&R for one!!) and almost coming unstuck.
I do just hope that some of our "fans" understand that in a sell-out away end of 7k you can not always have it your own way............thats to both the ones that want to stand the whole 90 mins and also to the coffee & blanket brigade and hope for bit of give & take on both sides. I believe I at near the back and will have my 8 year old son (who has only attended aways games at Welling, Wycombe & Walsall) with me - he may have to stand on his seat for most of the match but i am hoping that he will still be able to see.............so lets all be sensible and think of the other fans around you.
I'll be looking forward to a nice warm sofa for the whole afternoon tuning into the Gillette soccer special.......some of us actually couldn't get tickets!

Fulham would appear to have about 12,000 spare in the home ends. Just an idea worth investigating.
Glad you finally got your dates sorted out Cray. Cup match against Fulham beats paintballing any day in my book. I'm looking forward to 7000+ fans cheering our team. Regardless of the result I'm going to have a great day.
Yes mate, even though I'm in p7 still going to be plenty of atmosphere!
Never get the 'kids can't see' argument. When I was a kid it was the atmosphere I loved more than anything. I loved standing, even when I could not see great. Every club who stand away from home every week, have kids a plenty in their end,who seem to cope. Do people ever actually ask their kids what they want? As a big one off (ands that is what it is) it would be a shame to see 7k bums on seats for 90mins.
I've had another word with him & explained that is not the answer some would want & asked him to reconsider. Explained to him all the benefits of an enhanced atmosphere if he couldn't actually see. But no, he would still prefer to watch the game :-(
He did suggest that if some thought it was preferable, to not actually be able to see the game, then perhaps they need not attend & thereby let the people who do want to see the game, be able to :-)

a) I meant it's the case with Charlton and b) that's probably because everyone in front of them is standing so they have no choice...
