As much as people dislike the guy for what he has done in the past, and I'm not going to get into a debate about the rights and wrongs of whether serving ones time is sufficient to allow them to move on, this is an allegation and one of the principles of the law in this country is that you are innocent until proven guilty. In fact with the amount of women that have been known to falsely cry rape I think it's about time the accused was given annonimity until they are actually found guilty in a court of law.
Did he do this? None of us have a clue. But with some of the comments above I hope you never get called up for jury service.

Done Jury Service three times and my bit for society. Can't discuss the evidence or specifics of the cases for obvious reasons but having weighed up all the evidence I came to a balanced decision on each occasion. However when the previous was read out prior to sentancing at one of the trials, the accused standing before the beak whose lawyers had him as a goody goody had convictions as long as your arm. I know there will be cries of 'give a dog a bad name' but in that instance the accused was a perpetual reoffender. The worrying thing was that we had a few middle aged ladies looking at this person and coming out with stuff in the jury room like 'Oh he's such a nice boy he could be my son, we could ruin his life if we found him guilty'....Unbelievable on the evidence! Those are the people you want to hope never get called for Jury service!
In fact with the amount of women that have been known to falsely cry rape......................
That's interesting. Could you please tell me what your evidential source for this statement is please?
If there was two ever it would be two too many. It happens and we know it happens.
A very quick google search will throw up enough evidence to back that point up.
Dont get me wrong I'm in no way belittling the crime, and if he is guilty of whatever he is accused of them I would hope and expect them to throw the book at him, I just think the above instant responses are distasteful. Perhaps if you were one day falsely accused of a crime, and it does happen, you would be happy for the papers to splash your photo across the front page and then forget about you once you were cleared of any wrongdoing.

Whilst there are women who may falsely cry rape, there are many many more who are so traumitised, scared and scarred by their ordeal that it never goes reported. One of the truly most sickening crimes that turns my stomach and anyone guilty of it should never be allowed to walk the streets again.
For every 100 rapes reported only 6% end in conviction, some may never come to trial. I am sure this is not a case of 94 women "crying rape". Many more are never even reported.
A false accusation of rape is a terrible thing, but so is being raped and the rapist getting away with it.
I am a big believer of "innocent until proven guilty" and as stated earlier it could easily be a case of a young lady wanting to make a bit of money by selling her story to the press..............
But, IF and I state again, IF, it is true & he is found guilty of some sexual offence I hope they lock him up for good. IMO he should still be in prison and he is lucky to be out - he has been given a second chance and if he has f****d it up they should take his previous into account and not relaese him until he is 80.

It doesn't follow that the other 94% are definitely not gulty - just that the guilt can't be proven, hence a non-guilty verdict is returned.
Rape is an offence under section one of the Sexual Offences Act - 2003.
If Lee Hughes has committed an offence then it seems it's a s 3 offence which covers intentionally touching another person "sexually", that is without consent and knowing that he does not have consent, the ultimate arbiter of what is/isn't "sexual" is up to the jury.

Depends what his release on license terms were.
The max tariff is 10 years for sexual assualt, but that would include battery and other offences which he may or may not be accused of, groping someone is at the lower end of the range.
May I add that men also get raped and the statistics are very distorted as they are often too ashamed to report the crime to the police?
There was a programme that bought this up 2 years or so ago, said it's a massive problem that rarely gets reported. Although if men are too ashamed to report it, why would they tell anyone, so not sure how this information was put together.

Sounds like a bit of a suspect story to me.
It is, I went past it a couple of weeks ago.
I think it's on/near to the site where Croydon Airport used to be.
