Having read through all threads, I agree Hayes is shit!
Get lost! How can you possibly call Hayes shit?! Ok, he didn't have the best of games today but don't forget, he has played more than his part in what we have achieved so far this season. Hayes is an intelligent footballer and I'm genuinely sick of hearing people criticise him. Anyone that plays the game will appreciate what a good job he does and although not as good as Yann, he'll still be massively important in the future. The fact BWP loves playing with the guy says it all. Hayes haters, get a reality check!

You are forgetting charlton fans always need someone to slag off, even when we are top of the league.
Had two teenagers behind me. One Charlton and one Millwall. At one point the Millwall one said, with no irony, 'Your referee isn't very good. If you had better referees you might get better crowds.' He spent 90 minutes coming out with stuff like that. Definitely the stupidest person I have sat near at a football match.

I am sorry but I completely disagree with you. I played football at a decent standard for over 10 years and I have seen better first touches from school boys. He may be intelligent but if you give the ball away most of the time it's pointless. He has been awful not just in this games but from what I have seen the last 3 or 4 he has played. A couple of assists at the start of the season doesn't make him a good player. If Yann is out for any length of time then I am sorry mate you will have to get used to people not raring him because as far as I am concerned he is pony!
is there anywhere to watch the goals like on i player because its only the football league show and no match of the day with fa cup goals?
FA Cupis covered by ITV so presumably won't be on BBC at all, the other option is sky sports but was surprised they did not show on the goals highlights last night, maybe ITV will show as part of their live coverage and there is an ITV show tonight at around 11.00 I think.
OK Hayes divides fans but can we not turn this into a Hayes is good, Hayes is rubbish thread and move onto the rest of the game. How about Pritchards second half performance, thought for a player that was non league this time last season he was superb second half.
Hayes has been vital to our success this season ... Highest assust rate a decent amount of goals ... The whiners and moaners just like to have a scapegoat ... Sad mother f******* ... They will be booing him next ...
I've certainly been to worse cup games over the years. As others have said it was a slow first half which picked up once we upped a gear in the second. We were hoofing it far too much in the first half which is why Hayes and Wagsaff looked awful, neither is a target man so kicking it long is pointless. Once we got the ball down they both looked better.
THEMCA - The fact you claim school boys have better touches than Hayes tells me that you havent been to a football game in your life let alone played it at a decent standard (who cares what you have done)! This isnt about opinions, this is about what is already set in stone...the fact he has scored a bag full of goals to fire us to the top, he has created moments of brilliance in creating goals for BWP and the rest, and also he hasnt sulked and let his head drop in a period where he has been knocked out of the side by Yann! Now if you want to come back and say Euell has a better touch than Hayes then this will confirm to all reading this thread that you are on a whind up!

Thought the 1st half was as poor as I've seen in quite a while (taking into account I only attended a handful of Parky games). The only player who looked like he was actually trying was Evina who never stopped chasing down balls.
Second half was much better. No doubt CP gave them a rollicking during the break, and rightly so. From that point there was only going to be one winner. Thought the back 5 were solid throughout, barring the odd error.
Hayes didn't have the best of games but I take into account that he was playing as a lone striker, which is not really what his game is all about. The one player who disippointed me throughout the entire game was Wagstaff. He didn't stamp his mark on the game and showed that he cannot play the role behind the striker. I also get annoyed when he constantly throws himself on the floor in agony, trying to get a free-kick before getting up fully recovered 5 seconds later, making a fool of himself and doing no favours to himself or the team.
Hopefully, a nice home draw against a low to mid premier side this afternoon...............
Hayes is not shit? Not great yesterday but as said by others has played a part in our good start to the season. However. I really don't think he is good enough to come in and score enough goals should either BWP or Kerm get injured for any length. Benson has no future is obvious and I am certain that we will bring in another striker in January. I expect Hayes to be fourth choice but as fourth choice Hayes makes our front line look very strong.

Since when was 3 goals a bag full?
Yeh but as somebody else has already mentioned Clem, the quality in his assists is very high! You only have to look back to the Exeter game, the one-two between Hayes and BWP for Bradleys goal was premiership-esque!
Hayes is at best decent, Kermorgant, who not only does the hold up role better but has scored more goals already, is better. Would I have Hayes over Euell? Yes... but that's not saying much.

Our fans are so frustrating, were never happy!
We have gone up a level since Kermorgant came into the side. He has something Hayes doesnt, a goal threat and physical presence.
He probably will, I am not denying that Kermogant is better than Hayes. We all know that, but I think that is testament to just how good Kermogant is. If we were talking about the total striker i would say he is far better than Wright Phillips too!He probably will end up 4th choice but that by no means shows that he is shit!

Better than BWP as a STRIKER???
Maybe if you were to say the best all round forward he'd be above BWP, you didn't say that though... For that reason, you are officially mental.
It was, to put it mildly, a very tepid first half. I think that was half expected after Monday night, the six changes and the lack of any real atmosphere ( I thought we'd get 9,000 for this one ).
A much better tempo and sense of urgency in the second half and we ran out deserved winners. Of the regulars, Solly, Morrison and Green were very good. Of the reserves, Sullivan put in an extremely good performance, Cort was solid ( and won't let us down when one of our central defenders is injured ) and Evina had a reasonable game ( he looks a bit lightweight at times, but will improve with experience and I believe there is a player in there ). Pritchard had an excellent second half and there is more to come from him. Good to see that we've some options in that important position.

Agree with SHG, Hayes will end up 4th choice.
Must be a small bag......
