Not a bad result but we have to get out of the starting gate quicker and put the other teams back on their heels from the start in order for us to stay top.
not a bad point imo sounded like a close game those are the games that were spoke about, picking up a point from a game that we could have easily got nothing from
sounded a tough game...we were slow out of the blocks and gave Rovers confidence I think. However we have not lost so 12 games unbeaten is something to be happy about.
Yes sheffield wed is creeping up but they have a derby game coming up and two tough games after. We have a couple of teams we have to get points on to stretch the lead at the top we might need a gap at the end of season.
Mentally stronger than we have been before in that we dont give up after going behind. Sounded a very poor performance in the first half but wont piss my pants about it because would have bitten your hand off to be top, 3 points clear and unbeaten after 12 games.
Going by the 2 point average for promotion idea that was touted on here before we look very much on track for that.
Amazing how we can win away at sheff utd a game that had us quaking in our boots and then not get 3 points at home which would be an expected win but thats football.
I hate the way teams like Tranmere and Hartlepool play the game. Constant foaling off the ball and time wasting. It kills the game and is horrible to watch. But season after season referees let them get away with it. Tranmere's keeper should of been sent off. But the ref thought a yellow was enough. Why? He just kept time wasting. I can't wait to get out of this league and face clubs that actually try to play football.
Lots of Tranmere time wasting as per usual. Referee lets Tranmere get away with it. What a horrible team. After a poor first half, we may have lost it and did well to come back.
Unbeaten after 12. Still unbeaten. We won't roll over all the opposition and play superbly each game. Things seemed to improve when Wagstaff came on. Would like to here opinions on Danny Green and Kermogant.
Danny Green was pretty awful and every time I've seen him he's been pretty awful. Cannot understand anyone who says he should be in the team over wagstaff. He's had his chances and hasn't taken them.
Not sure the reason for changing a winning (league) team.
Having Yann on, encouraged the defence to play long ball, bypassing the quality of Stephens and Hollands and Green offered less than Wagstaff in attack and defence today.
Good point considering we never looked like scoring all afternoon.
poor first half, much improved after the break, looked better with waggy on the park. kermogant has a great first touch and played well. solly had another fine game. tranmere were frustrating with all there time wasting.
Still unbeaten yes! But we were very average today, just didn't look up for it - tranmere were the better team if we are serious about promotion we should be beating teams like tranmere - 2 points lost in my opinion, seeing as it is now a 3 gap at the top - when before the game it was 5 points
Bad day at the office. The changes didn't work ( and Im guilty of calling for green to start) . I hate it when the spotlight is on us because we very rarely perform when it is.
One plus point from today , I briefly met a couple of Lifers. Miserableoldgit & Colinwalshslovechild . Nice to put some faces to the names.
Definitely a point gained today. Poor first half, never got going at all although to be fair Tranmere looked dangerous and scored a good goal.
Second half was much better and got the pen and earned a point. Must say, I doubt if we will play against a more frustrating and annoying team this season. Some of their antics are a disgrace!
Still top, still unbeaten in the league! We move on to Stevenage.
Very glad to get a point in an unconvincing display. I don't think it was right to change a winning team, although the constraints regarding team selection for the paint pot trophy may have skewed things in that regard. Kermit does not bring the same qualities to the team (or at least did not today) as Hayes, and I wonder if Kermit is more suited to being competition for BWP. Green is also a different player to Waggy, and I thought he struggled to make much of an impact today. For me, Morrison was our best player against a big strong Tranmere team who deserved their point.
We're still undefeated, and are four points ahead of target so it isn't too bad. Nobody would've complained if we'd drawn at Sheffield United, and then won this one... so it's OK.
Did anybody else notice the pre-match contributions of the senior players Euell and Hughes? They were changed and very positive in the warm up. Very unselfish, and a good example to (in this case Waggy and Hayes?) any player who gets dropped.
We had better get used to away teams playing like Tranmere: defensive, but still decent enough to punish mistakes.
They were wasting time in such a blatant way and what did the ref do? Wasted several minutes talking to them about wasting time but not booking anyone!
Green was lacklustre and we improved immensely when Waggy replaced him. Kermit and BWP not quite got an understanding yet (understandably) as Kermit kept flicking it on and BWP didn't take a gamble. Officials were awful, match was pretty bad but happy we're still undefeated.
Thought Tranmere came and worked hard. Made their luck, pushed their luck and rode their luck. To boot they caught us on a day when little went right and we were not at our most fluid. It's gonna happen. Not too down.
Last week, we won a game we didn't expect to and this week we drew a game we expected to win. It all evens itself out.
Tranmere - What a horrible team. I can't wait go up and play decent teams. We're still top, so we can't be negative. I've have been delighted for this position at the start of the season. I still think we'll get stronger as the season progresses, so that's a VERY positive thing.
It's always difficult when it's 2 vs 3 in the centre of midfield. Maybe with Pritchard out, Powell didn't think we had a good enough third centre midfielder to play there, which I agree with. Alonso wasn't ready, Hughes isn't good enough and I wouldn't play Jackson there as I don't like taking players out of their best position.
We just had an off day really. That's probably the first time I've said that with this team. Let's be honest, we were pretty rubbish today. But we'll be back to our best next week and we'll beat Stevenage, I'm confident of that. We're still top of the league by three points and we've had a brilliant start to the season. We have everything we need to go up this season; a solid defense, good teamspirit, depth in the squad and a regular goalscorer. Come on you reds!

Ultimately pleased with 1-1. Still unbeaten. Showing character to be able to come back and sounds like, in the end, we should have won really.
Game exactly as I predicted.
Tranmere outplayed us first half.
Just about worth a point.

Maybe there needs to be an extra body in midfield in these occasions or a different plan.

All frustrations were brought onto ourselves by lumping it up and not having any patience.
Posted before reading any others.

I thought the ref favoured us slightly today.
