I believe the Exeter hype snowballed alot in the last 10days to be honest so it may still happen with this. Always gonna be a bit harder for an early season game there as there is no tension really
In terms of the hype, there is plenty happening this week, although I wrote thisas a landing page for KM readers who hadn't been before, which is why it is a bit basic. I didn't mention the number of goalposts . . .
As for sales being "slow", we sold 75 per cent of tickets in the last ten days last time and I'd expect the pattern to be repeated, because most of the publicity isn't out there yet. We've already sold more than the total advance sale we would normally expect.
One thing that really surprised me, given how good our marketing team have always been on that front, is why it was 'launched' relatively low key, on transfer deadline day, when every football fan and media outlet are concentrated on one thing. I know launch isn't everything, but you'd like to have some impact and other than a bank holiday or a Sunday. I couldn't have thought of a worse day.
Hope it goes well, suspect it won't fly quite as good as the last one due to the season not having enough momentum yet and it being too soon to the last one to appeal to the very infrequent visitors.

You don't think our fans were looking at our website on deadline day?
Wish they'd get the members online booking fixed, as I like to have a scout around and see what seats are available, especially as there are now 7 of us going.

@Airman Brown How late can I buy a ticket? Don get paid until Friday 23rd......been a long time without spare cash, can I buy on the day?
I would imagine it would just be pay on the turnstiles if you haven't got a ticket, or you can just buy one at the window. Won't be a sell-out. I've got a spare north-upper ticket if you want it Redmidland (Gratis). send me a whisper if you want it.
I really think this team will have that one game where we absolutely wipe the floor with a team this season. I really hoping it happens at this match with a packed stadium. However, after what happened last season against Exeter........................
I bought 4 tickets for this game to bring 3 mates along (one dropped out due to work tho).
I have the same bunch as last time coming, they all enjoyed it regardless of the previous result so guess people just enjoy a good cheap day out supporting a local team. If we win more the better and if we play well the club might get one or two back paying full price so this is the real target
At this stage last time we'd sold just over 4,000 and went on to sell another 9,000. This time we've just tipped over 3,000. However, this week's sales have been near identical to last time. We're aware of some issues - for example the now resolved problem with online sales - that may have had a bearing on early numbers.
