  • irst game was West Ham 3 Norwich 3 in about 92. Chris Sutton was playing upfront for Norwich and I was on my dad's shoulders

First Charlton game was 27/09/1997 against Swindon in the league cup. Swindon were in the Premier Leage, we had won 3 1 at their place and in typical Charlton fashion we lost the home /leg 4 1. Jan Aage Fjortoft scored a hattrick. First league game was a 3 0 home defeat against Southend 5/3/1996

  • First ever game was at Selhurst.

First ever game was a Palace game.

6 years olds with my mate and his old man. Feel sick just admitting it, obviously wasn't that great though...
  • First ever game was Wimbledon 2-2 Aston Villa at the end of the 99/00 season.
  • Charlton 1 Chester City 0 1980
  • charlton 1 portsmouth 2 1985 john pearson scored the goal! was at selhurst park
  • Oh! First ever game? Not first ever Charlton game?
    Oh... Millwall in about '93.
My Dad went through a phase, he's over it now.
  • Charlton 1-1 Sunderland. 95/96.
Great header from Shaun Newton in that game from a Robbo (Mark Robson) cross...

Mine was Charlton Vs Pisa in 1993, an Anglo Italian Cup game... what a way to start! Lost 3-0 in front of about 1,500 crowd I think, Mark Robson was sent off, think it was John Vaughan in goal. Goodness knows why that was the first time my father agreed to take me after months and months of me moaning that I wanted to go. Can't believe I've been going for 18 years... that sound like forever yet I'm still only a young man...
  • Charlton v Oxford Utd 1975 3-3 league cup tie
  • Home to Orient 1971.  Won 2-0, Keith Peacock brace.
  • Charlton 3-2 Blackburn the one where Freidel scored and then Jensen ran it from kick-off and scored a belter. aged 7

it was a great game that got me hooked and showed charlton's trait of loosing a 2 goal lead but I've been a season ticket holder ever since
  • 1965/6 season but no idea who against at the Valley.
  • February 29th 1964. Charlton 0 Portsmouth 1. Set me up for a lifetime of footballing disappointment.
  • 1962/63 Charlton 1 dirty Leeds 2
  • 1964. I was 4, so can't remember.
  • me too cant remember the game about 1975,the game i do remember was when hales and flanagan had there infamous punch up against maidstone in the fa cup,i think this was about 1977
  • 1993 0-0 against millwall. Think David Whyte hit the bar from distance, that's all I can remember! George Graham was sat in the row behind on a scouting mission, got his autograph thought I was the man when I took it to school.
  • 1973/74 -  3-3 home to Shrewsbury on a Sunday. I think this may have been a first ever league fixture on a sunday (some sort of experiment). Dad needed to explain the offside rule to me on the way home as I thought we'd won 4-3
  • 1975 1-1 v Blackpool. No prizes for guessing who scored for us that day.

The game was on MOTD, which those with long memories will know was a rarity back then.

I can't remember the goal at all. Do remember seeing Sunderland fans in the East Stand and the chesseburger being fantastic! Also went to my first away that season at Reading a 0-0.
  • Jan 1988.

Charlton 0 Liverpool 2 (Beardsley, Barnes).
  • At home to Wolves 1968/69 season, if my memory serves me I think we lost 0-3.
  • 1 - 0 win at home to Newcastle for me, 2nd to last "home" game at Selhurst Park - Andy Peake scored and one of theirs was sent off. Loved it!

@Friendordefoe Went to that 0-0 at Reading as well and got stuck in the middle of what I believe was a BNP riot on the way back to the station - bottles flying everywhere and clean pants needed for the train journey home!
