Ok mate , hope your missus is ok . Just trying to keep a lid on the rumours stuff cos I've had so many this afternoon , its just impossible for it to be going off everywhere . Sounds like a lot of places are bracing themselves for bother but that does nt mean its kicked off already
Rumour has it Ackworth and JT were out looting non-league clubs last night for a striker and a centre-back.
Anyway it's ValleyGary that drinks beer with lemonade in, just before he puts his y-fronts over his trousers and goes out with a pitch-fork into the night.

Can confirm that this is getting a lot of coverage in Mexico so would assume everywhere else in the World. Makes you ashamed to be British. It is the clearest example of broken Britain, we have created ignorant stupid selfish adults who want things but don't have the intelectual means to get them. We are witnessing the actions of a pathetic generation of lost causes who sadly will breed other lost causes. We do need a fairer more equal society but also one where nothing is handed to people on a plate but where everybody who works hard/wants to work hard gets rewarded (which is not the case today) and where parents are responsible for their children's behaviours and actions.
have been contacted and asked to pick little boy up early from special needs playgroup in Lower Belvedere as police have advised trouble may be imminent. Daughter is paediatric nurse and has to leave Q E hospital at 7.45 pm when her shift finishes . luckily she drives home so hopefully will be ok .
I hope that it will be quieter tonight. Perhaps the fact that all the shops have been shuttered up early and there are more police on the streets will have an effect.
Having seen the police handling football fans, and reading some of the comments above the reasons for them holding back and about them being outnumbered, I don't get it? A reasonable crowd at the Valley is 12,000 - how many cops are in attendance - they're always outnumbered, yet any trouble and they steam in anyway because they know that the vast majority won't be "up for it". If they'd treated the rioters a bit more like a football crowd they may have found them to be the same. I.e. most of those young men and women faced by a policeman on a horse wielding a baton would've thought it was time to call it a day and go home.
Look at the video from woolwich last night, if the police had stood their ground they would have been overrun with ease, 12k at the valley is a bit of an unfair figure, as of that 12k how many will be involved in any trouble? How many of the rioter will fight? A hell of a lot more I'd imagine. The police should not be risking their lives against these scumbags. I imagine with a much larger police presence tonight we may see a change of tactics.
I don't want any police officers to risk their lives, but I still think that if they'd shown more force on day 1 of this a lot of the rioters would've thought twice about what they were doing. Maybe you're right, that it is all about numbers and tonight there will be enough police on the street to stop the scumbags.
Have heard from Bromley again. Lots of police dotted around, speaking to people (normal everyday folk) in a polite and useful manner. No groups or youths gathering, lots of scaremongering, not a lot of action.
The police are preparing for rioting which leads people to believe there must be things happening, but no. This is better than being unprepared and allowing looting to start.

I have been told that there is a very large group gathering near Docklands and that PC World at Beckton is being/has been done. Friend's place of work in Docklands just been closed and all staff sent home.
"As looters and rioters smashed up shops, looted and fought with police in Camden Town, Philippa Morgan-Walker, 25 and her husband, Jonny Walker, 31, made tea for the police who were protecting their street. Some of the officers had been on duty for more than 30 hours."
