  • Spot on Smudge.

Can't they round up the ringleaders stick them all on the Woolwich Ferry and let it drift slowly out to sea.
sadly, I don't think the Woolwich Ferry would be big enough.
  • So there's no hesitation to use water cannons in Northern Ireland, but according to Theresa May "We don't do that here".  Clueless.

Stay safe everyone, or get yourself on the first train/ plane to Bonnie Scotland!

    .
  • It makes me sick to my stomach that the parents of these kids obviously know where the kids are and what they're up to but couldn't give a shit.
  • it wont kick off south of woolwich. The decent working class people round here wont stand for it. they will fight back.

never thought id say it but the people of bexleyheath are better than all this.

Sorry to say, but this is where I've been told it's heading tonight :(

Good Luck everybody and stay safe!
  • I'm in sleepy Perth, Western Australia, but have family all over London. I scarcely believe what's happening., but hope the finger of blame only points towards those involved in the rioting. Police relatively helpless, government inept (and has been for many years), and the march toeards this sort of freedom of expression has inched forward without recognition.
On other threads the 'good old days' has been frowned upon. However, from someone aged 60 proud of their SE London upbrining, they were indeed the good old days.
Let's hope a normal situation returns tonight and going forward sanity prevails.
  • England game off tomorrow night
  • Sad... v.sad

OMG, I cant believe the audacity.  Utter utter scum.
  • Cameron making statement at 10.30. Please God he doesn't use words like "robust policing" and "full force of the law".

    What frigging law?

what and those of us that live in charlton and croydon etc are not?  what an absolutely stupid statement.  Big hard guy.
  • No expert on politics, but from what I have seen off her over the last 15 hours, Theresa May seems to be completely out of her depth and completely ineffective. Incessant repeating of words like "lawlessness" and "criminality" but yet to provide a straight answer to any question put to her.

Politicians from all parties need to take a long hard look at themselves this morning, they have allowed this underclass gang culture to develop and when it has come to a head they have failed to deal with it.

  • Darcus Howe on TV (BBC) now -------why ? the man is a complete and utter twat. "this isnt rioting its an inserection" he is saying its the same as Syria !!! This guy is more racist than anyone from the far right he is an utter numpty ofthe far left yet the good old BBC can dig him out of one of his many "wifes" beds to spew bile !! yeeeeeeeeeee right on the ooooooooo soooo PC BBC.

Chris, i honestly do. i will be up bexleyheath tonight, not cos i think im hard but because ive had enough and im not gonna let these little shits ruin the place ive lived for the last 27 years.

and did i say that Curb_it. no. so wind your neck in.

  • A cousin of a friend at work has had his flat burnt down in Croydon.

    Surreal.

  • I'm in complete shock to be honest.

The good law abiding people of society simply don't deserve this. I don't blame the police, I don't blame the government and I don't blame Boris for having a holiday. I solely blame those involved, their parents and those who have contributed to their shit upbringing and failed to instill any sense of right and wrong.

    THIS!

Safety in numbers eh... I doubt you would have gone our your door last night on your own.  i was
absolutely petrified last night listenign them going up and down the
street and have barely slept and now i read an absolute ridiculous
    statement like that.

IMO this is a cullimation of 20 years of softer and softer sentences, making the youth feel they are untouchable. Society has allowed them to stand on street corners en mass, shoplifting and bullying residents and passers by without any effort from the authorities. I work next to Horseferry Road Mag Court and see a constant daily stream of these undesirarables strutting out, laughing and thinking it is all a hoot.

And dont get me started on the parents!

Hope he uses terms such as " We're going to kick a£%e", "Clear the streets finally of these scum bags" and "We're going to stick them all in cages and treat them like animals, because that's what they are"

Yep, come on Davey Boy, grow a pair!!!!

  • I've got to get a couple of things from Bromley today, so I'll have a look and see what has happened. Doesn't sound like much to be honest, but we'll see.
  • David Cameron's statement is going to be shit and will tell us stuff we already know.
  • He'll just say;

    -Services doing a great job
-We must stand up against this as a country
    -Criminality is totally unacceptable
-Anyone want an ipad for £40

  • Injured boy is "helped" to his feet, then robbed:

    Totally disgusting.

Hope all of you Lifers and your families are safe. Glad not to be in London at the moment.

"Lessons will be learned" is platitude of the moment.

seen that a few times, that needs to be shared show people that know the scum can do something about it
  • Well said Afka, sums up my feelings exactly. Been having a 'discussion' with Mrs. M over the police's role in it all and have agreed to differ. I only hope Cameron and his crew manage to agree on swift and decisive action and not pussyfoot around. With what I've seen so far of our politicians on the box so far I won't hold my breath. I don't know why, and can't explain it, but as well as shocked and dismayed I also feel ashamed but not sure of exactly what. Anyway, glad evaryone is keeping safe, let's hope for some breathing space.
  • Also seen pics of a white fella being stripped by black youths in Deptford.
