Christian is now banned for the rest of the season.
I like Dailly and thoiught his Q&A sesssion earlier in the season he came over very well, but unfortunately I think he has come to the end of his sell by date and should not be offered a contract for next season.

He really should know better. At least we kept a clean sheet.
i think we should be looking to get rid to be honest we wont see Doc or fortune next season he shouldve known better today let himself and team down, i aint based that today but overal season and where we sahould be looking to improve next season.
done well for us over the last 2 seasons
Some respect please.
I think we need four new centre backs next season at least. None of Dailly, Fortune, Llera or Doherty fill me with any confidence.
Dailly had a great season last year - but there have too many errors this year, had another defender been responsible for some of them then there would have been screeds of threads and posts in the post match summaries demanding his transfer. It's time to rebuild the defence, we won't go up with any combination you like of that four.
Bit dim today mind. 36 years old and 3 red cards now this season. Committed and honest but rapidly becoming a liability. Our captain and best defender is going to have 12 games suspended this season in total and 3 taking only a part role in, plus the inevitable niggles and fatigue in his twilight years. That's missing about 30% of our league games. Not good enough.
IMO it'd be shortsighted to thoughtlessy chuck away his vast experience and leadership.
And at this level, he's still got the quality on the ball.
No one doubts the guy's commitment, but perhaps a season too long!
I read that he wanted another year!...... sorry! have to move on and think of the team, as captain he knows that..
We must get some pace at the centre back position alongside though.
I'd hope that we would be strong enough for him to be a squad player rather than our number 1 centre half though.
Can you pass the armband to Jacko on your way out the door mate, and best of luck for the future. I hear Marcus Stewart is looking for a golfing partner.
Thanks.

Third red card this year - a five match ban.
So you can't criticise a player who has missed 10 games this season with this ban. Get real this is not about respect. This is about whether we keep a player who has let himself and the team down on a number of occaisions this season and resulting in him missing almost a quarter of the season.
Oggy makes a good point but Daily has said he is only interested in playing,so would he accept the elder statesman occaisional player role, not from what he has said.
Sam3110 makes the point of who to bring in, Dailly is no different from looking outside the club as he willbe out of contract and in the pool of avaiable players, whereas Doherty probably has another year of his contract, so we may not have any choice about keeping him, Fortune and Mig like Dailly are in the pool of available players along with all other players whose contracts are ended on 30th June.
We have not contractualor financial requirement to keep any of these players and we may well be able to attract other players to build an area of the club that is seen by those on here to be a big weakness.
At the end of the day, if the new owners have a commtiment to promotion we need better than what we have and have the opportunity to bring in fresh legs for next season.
A great shame and if it is, despite my questioning of his temperament, a big pat on the back for his efforts.
36/37 year old who has played at International level yet managed to pick up 3 totally unessessary red cards causing him to lose many matches and jeopardise the result of 3 games, I hope I am right in expecting them to no thanks.
They will surely have a profile for the type of player we will need, and in my view Dailly does not fit it. Thanks Christian, now lets all move on.
That wont get us up next year...
Time for new blood.
Obviously need some new centre backs, but four quality centre backs is a huge ask (even more so when we might need several more signings in other positions). We all like the idea of a clearout with Championship standard replacements, but there's no way we can let 15-20 players all go at once and get in a better replacement for every single one of them.
I was there and it was a vicious attack on Dailly whose reaction was wrong but automatic and was correctly sent off, but so should the Oldham player.
IMHO Dailly is a good defender who needs a younger partner, his contract should be renewed but maybe he won't be automatic first choice, but his knowledge and experience on and off the pitch will be invaluable next season.
My mate at the game said there had already been a number of bad tackles on Charlton players, and the referee wasn't taking action to clamp down.
Dailly suffered a broken jaw early in the season ..............and today was cut and bruised by a wreckless dangerous high kick in the face. If his jaw had been broken again, that may well have been the end of Dailly's career.
Wrong though it may have been, Dailly's reaction and retaliation is understandable in the circumstances.
He is our captain and was joined in the side by Stewart - a player with previous disciplinary problems.
What sort of example has he set for Stewart today ?
He will have missed 20% of the season through bookings - not what we want for next year.
Jacko for skipper - like I keep on saying, it's our only chance of leaving this dross division.
Perhaps. But not excusable. He's supposed to be the captain and he's managed to deprive his team of a leader for ten games this season due to his recklessness and missed 20 per cent of the season (on full wages) due to his inability to exercise some self-discipline.
If he hasn't clocked that you cannot retaliate like that and expect to stay on the field, then almost 20 years in the professional game has taught him depressingly little.
So he thought, ''OK, it's my job as captain to turn vigilante and take the law into my own hands ''? If so, he could not be more wrong and is quite miscast in a leadership role.
If he was 26 rather than 36, you'd be tempted to hope he can mend his ways. But it's all a bit late in the day for that now and I agree with those suggesting we won't be seeing him in a Charlton shirt again.
Does anyone know who was the last Charlton player to manage three red cards in one season, by the way?
