This is what a Hibs-supporting colleague emailed me about Stewart:
'Michael Stewart had a spell with Hibs and his his time with us I felt he did quite well. He's an arrogant so and so on the pitch, though I met him once in Edinburgh and he seemed quite a decent fella. His problem on the pitch in his 2nd spell at Hearts was that he was surrounded by utter duds (happy days) and he was constantly trying to do far too much, he was constantly moaning, getting booked and subsequently suspended. He could prove ok at Charlton or he could be an utter nightmare esp in the dressing room if he feels other players aint up to standard.'

I like him. Sounds a bit like Bailey with the trying to do too much but a leader and sort of player you hate in the otherside but love in yours.
This is all good - even if he's crap (which i'm sure he won't be), this is a further indication that they acknowledge that the central midfield needs surgery and the fact he sounds a bit cocky and abrasive and can play a bit is even more positive - we want somebody who can come in and take things by the scruff of the neck. Start him and Parret tonight and i'll be happy.
An arrogant so and so on the pitch and not above having at go at other players if they are not up to standard - sounds like juts what we need to get the others in order, we have been a little short of leaders in recent times.

That's almost exactly what I said to the Hibs supporter who gave me his evaluation of him, mate.

I'm liking the sound of this bloke more and more. Wouldn't it be terrible if he picks on Macormack.
The thought of this fella laying out half the team at half time has just brought a very serious smile to my face...........make it an outake on the end of seasons video .
Don't know why but this guys seems to have the makings of good old fashioned anlgo sweaty Charlton player ala Balmer, Walsh, Mcleary. I reckon he could end up a Charlton Legend, dont why I just do.
I hope im wrong ,but lets not build him up too much yet , he's not put on a Charlton shirt yet and we're bigging him up as the next Kinsella (which is what we need) maybe they can play 'Saturday nights all right for fighting' at the next Valley home game , to make him feel welcome?
Gives Jose competition, as much as I want him to stay next season, his contract is up so possible replacement? Means we have another CM Means McOxo hopefully further down the pecking order Good chance to assess him and hopefully we'll be in prime position to sign on a longer deal in the summer if he impresses Ha good pedigree in that he has been a captain, played international football and was a pro at United for a while.
I don't mean to be disrespectful , but could we get Mcoxo doing something useful for the club apart from playing in the first team , there seemed a better atmosphere without him being on the pitch tonight, perhaps he is a rotten apple? something really useful to the club between now and the end of the season , like selling matchday programmes, or clearing the rubbish up under seats after the game, it might make him appreciate what a cushty ride he has had at this club? any other suggestions of what we could do with him? What about 3rd prize in the valley gold draw , where he could come and cut your lawn for you , or do any odd jobs like clean your windows or block pave your driveway till his contract is up.

Red heads are just a more advanced form of human development. Get over it.

Now, if only they could get/stay fit
Most of the team wont be out for the second half, he'll have laid them out in changing room. : )
That will confuse the bloke when he gets a song before he has even kicked a ball.
Was just thinking we can bring back the "I want ginger hair too".

Another sign that the owners and SCP are working hard to give us a decent finish to the end of a disappointing season .
Well done all concerned.
All we need now is for the 12th man to play his/her part.
COYA !!!!
