Didn't he get some pretty excited reviews from us at the time, then at Barnet he got slated? His head was in the wrong place or something like that and Parky terminated the trial.

Bauza generally impressed in his pre season games and many on here thought he would be a worthwhile addition, including myself. However he did have a particularly bad game at Barnet and think the fact he is not a natural goalscorer may have put off our coaching staff from offering him a deal.
He could be the creator and link player we need especially at home. However I would prefer a more natural midfielder due to the fact we have plenty of striking options (including Waggy it seems) and am unsure about the impact Bauza made in League 2 so there has to be questions about whether he would be good enough. Bauza may have played well in L1 for Swansea but that was a while ago and injuries could have taken their toll.
As mentioned above, Nicky Law could be the answer. He has done very well in League 2 and maybe more capable of the step up this season.

If you can get so incensed at the airing of a rumour that has not been substantiated then what on earth are you going to the stressful environment that is Charlton when quite clearly you need to get to your doctors for some tranquillisers. Ffs man chill.
I saw Andy Ansah at the valley yesterday. I imagine that in a few years, if Powell is still in charge and his son (youth team at Arsenal) needs some games out on loan he will be down here
I know somebody who was with Mr Jiminez in dubai last week, when he took a call from Mr Dalglish offering 2 players on loan, don't know if this is on top of the Ecclestone deal ?
I was there too yesterday, clearly this means I am our next left footed creative midfielder who can also take set pieces that we so desperately need! ;0)

22 Jan 2011 22:46:41 Spanish striker Guillem Bauza is on trial with Charlton (Again). The Hereford striker spent a while at The Valley this pre season but former manager Phil Parkinson opted against signing him.
For what it is worth I was quite impressed by Fletcher yesterday.

Very good idea.

Given that according to reports above he was at both Bloomfield Road and the Valley simultaneously yesterday afternoon, I'm not surprised!
Brilliant

What a volley that was. Would be of an excellent goal.
Maybe he might be the answer!!
