Charlton are maintaing their interest in Bradley Wright-Phillips but face continuing competition from Glasgow Rangers for the leading League 1 scorer who has netted 13 goals this season (one more than Johnnie Jackson).
It is now known that when Addicks supremo Chris Powell went to the MK Dons versus Argyle match last week one of his objectives was to talk to Pilgrims officials about the former Southampton hit man. Argyle are currently conducting a fire sale of players as they struggle to stay afloat. If they do not sell Wright-Phillips now they will get nothing for him in the summer when his contract expires.
The 25-year old failed a medical at Reading because of knee problems, but went to see a London specialist this week who cleared him of serious damage.
Chris Powell has emphasised that there will be no splashing out on new signings. 'We've got to a bit clever,' he said. So expect some loan signings.
For me the #1 priority remains a young and mobile central defender. Dailly has good positional sense, but he needs a different sort of player to partner him.
After yesterday's victory, Charlton have moved out of the relegation positions in the form table. Posted by Wyn Grant at 07:35 1 comments Labels: Bradley Wright-Phillips, Chris Powell
If we're talking Plymouth, what about the kid Curtis Nelson, played alongside Siep in central defence? Good on the ball, quick, mobile, and playing regularly at this level despite his tender years. Thought he looked very decent and can only get better.
[cite]Posted By: CAFCBourne[/cite]I thought there keeper was the one for me very quick of his line handling was good and dominated his area on all crosses
On loan from Spurs but I agree. Tall and dominant and handling was good
Plymouth's keeper Button has been getting great reviews this season and impressed last season on loan at Shrewsbury. His handling and distribution were both good on Sat and he certainly seems to have some good attributes. I could be wrong but think I read that Harry is a fan, but either way expect him to be at least in the Championship soon.
Was not overly impressed with Fletcher, do not really want us to sign him as our midfield issues would not be solved by him and Semedo seems to be getting back to his best.

Not at fault with either goal
i would beg to differ ok a bad short back pass by Siep , but how bloody wide did he set himsely up to kick it
[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Matt Hill (Left Back) been released by Wolves to find another Club.
Only 29 and played a lot in the Preston team that missed out on promotion to the Prem twice in the play-offs.
Seem to remember him being decent but not played a lot of football in recent years.
Good call. thought he was quite handy. Wondered where he'd been. Might be worth a look, esp if wham decide to take fry back in feb, which i think they will as i can't see any other reason for extending only till beginning of feb unless it sjust to give us time to get someone else in during the window. Even if Fry stays, i still be happier if we managed to get another LB in.
Undisclosed fee. We obviously do not want to advertise how much we are spending. Rangers wanted him, so did others. Great signing. New owners obviously serious about going up this year.

Sat next to my mum, I believe.
You're kidding right?
He was absolutely shocking....their no.36? Looked worse than non-league standard.
