CHARLTON have ended their dispute with former boss Iain Dowie after the two parties settled before a Premier League tribunal hearing.
It is another significant hurdle that has been cleared as takeover talks continue at The Valley.
The Addicks sacked Dowie, 45, in November 2006 - his SE7 career lasting just 12 Premier League games - but he took the matter to a tribunal.
If the Premier League had ruled in the former Crystal Palace boss' favour then it could have been down to the group of investors currently locked in takeover talks to pay out the compensation.

Non constructive criticism of Dowie and Pardpoo edited out for the delicate souls amongst us.
You have a month parky to convince me you have a bit of intelligence and football nous. This bit is left as it was, pretty obvious really, time to deliver, I take my hat off to him for our unbeaten run, but feel it flattered us, time will tell.
If we are talking about Russian Billionaires , I'm surprised noone's mentioned Alexander Orlov . I believe that there is as much chance of him being involved as many of the names mentioned. I'd love to be proved wrong though.

[cite]Posted By: Lewis Coaches[/cite]Bet we are still none the wiser after Football Focus is off the air.
from what he was saying at the end it doesnt appear that he is currently involved in anything. says he been spendin time with family and been 'relaxed'.
[cite]Posted By: colthe3rd[/cite]Were you expecting him to say he was involved in a takeover and as a Christmas present to all Charlton fans he was installing himself as manager?
He has enough contacts in the area, i mean south london generally i fancy, that it is not necessarily significant that he happens to have bought a house in joydens wood. Also near enough to the M25 to go do damage elsewhere. e.g. west ham
5 more sleeps to go, this is better than opening my (i mean) the kids advent calender. cheers Bhr for making this whole takeover thing more understandable and exciting!
might have an early night tonight to push things on a bit for everyone ;0)
Where have all the in the know posters gone. No new outrageous rumours to fight over for days come on chaps. Only five more fighting days to the takeover.

Some BIG houses down that road.
Or are you winding us up....again ?
But to say that Wisey has bought a house there , if true, would add a certain weight to the rumour of his involvement in the "T"....
