  • As a season ticket holder you are also a red card holder. mines in my wallet
  • Strange though in that they normally say season ticket holders who have purchased for x away games as opposed to Red Card holders.

It will be interesting when everyone turns up with their stubs that it will be far more than the 400 number stated.

Thank you very much AB for clarifying about Rochdale by the way.

Basically they are saying that you don't need a season ticket to go you just need to have been to four away games this season.

Having said that I'm not sure you could have bought four away tickets if you are not a season ticket holder.

On the whole you can't really argue against it. If you go to away games you get first refusal on away games.
  • I've a 5 yr season ticket, red card vg lots of away games.. sure that'll do.. but fully expecting to be knocked out by the Lutonians :)

Yeh exactly - whilst on the whole I find the box office staff pretty efficient, this does annoy me - the staff should as a matter of course be asking for all red card numbers of people who are booking for away matches so it is all on record, but instead my experience whenever we book tickets for away games is that they seem reluctant to take them, or they might ask for one number, and we have to make a point of persuading them to note down ALL of our red card numbers.
  • Right, sorry if its already been clarified!

I am a season ticket holder with a red card.

I would estimate ive bought tickets to around 8/9 away games this season, with 2 tickets being bought for each one.

But this isn't including Thursday nights replay, as i can't make it!

Am i eligible to buy tickets on Friday Morning???

pm me or reply directly to my name.

    Cheers

No, you'll need a Luton season ticket.
  • If there are 400 Red Card holders (including season tickets) who have bought an average of two tickets each then that would account for 800 people who have attended four or more away games.

In fact there is a much bigger pool of people who have attended some local games but not four in total.

About 90 per cent of the 400 are also season-ticket holders.

  • Is it ok to talk about this Andy? Don't want to be getting in any trouble?

Airman what I don't understand about this is that it suggests that it is only people who have bought tickets who get the credits on their red card - so i go with two or three others to most away games, one who generally buys all the tickets. But what happens if for example he couldn't make one of the games but me and the others could - we have bought tickets for all the away games but can't get one because his membership no is the one with our details on. Obviously you would anticipate that you could use their membership no anyway, but surely it would make more sense for every membership no to be taken for any away ticket to be bought so there are no irregularities and any one individual can just ring up or go in with THEIR membership number and be able to buy themselves a ticket. Obviously this doesn't seem to cause much of a problem at the moment with very few high demand games, but if we ever got back to the premier league...
  • Whoever buys your tickets should insist that all the red card numbers are taken and purchases applied to each number.
  • Large whilst i maintain that the ticket office is quite helpful and efficient i think they have made a cock up here.
If we all had the time to take mates CON numbers and full names and addresses then yes it would not be a problem to update all red cards but 9 times out of 10 i rely on the quick service of the ticket office without bothering with all that job.

The problem here is that my pal who has nothing on their red card because its on mine will have to wait until the second stage of sales and obviously to avoid missing out i will use my red card to get my ticket ASAP. Leaving us sitting blocks apart from eachother.

Two 'adult' tickets per "special 400 clan" can't be much of a problem can it? Its only then 800 out of 4,200.

Anyway this is only a potential problem, and one i hope to moan more about on friday!
  • Jarman, not wanting an argument over this, but are you saying that because you, or anyone else for that matter, doesn't have the time to give the staff member your red card numbers that it is now somehow their fault that you or a mate might not be able to get a ticket yet? If so then that is ridiculous. No system is ever going to be flawless BUT at least the red card scheme does reward those that travel away regularly if used properly by all. In the past I have rung for tickets and not been asked for red card numbers but have insisted they take them precisely because of this scenario. It has taken barely a minute to relay nine numbers (not addresses or names) and for them to register them on the system. Time well spent to avoid the situation you are now in.
  • LOL at this thread.

    We wont sell 4200 fact.

Would tend to agree with you Southend

I've not got an S/T - just a bog standard Red Card but am fairly hopeful of getting a ticket
  • We'll easy sell 4,200. It's in London and only £20, if we can take 3,500 to Leyton Orient for £20 we'll easier sell out spurs*.

    * If we beat Luton.
  • think sold within ten days
  • [cite]Posted By: Friend Or Defoe[/cite]We'll easy sell 4,200.

We will. It all depends on the second wave of restrictions. What are these likely to be?

  • course we'll sell 4,200*

*assuming we get the chance to buy them
  • we could sell double if had the chance, thursday first though
  • LOL at Nolly.

You honestly think we could shift 8000. More deluded than BFR on his politics :)

Last time I saw Charlton at WHL I think we sold about 1200.

  • Maybe mate but honestly, we struggle to sell 2500 for Palace or 3000 for Millwall.

Its on a Sunday, its not a new ground, its in January when everyone other than Ormiston Addick is skint, we'll get trounced whilst all the Yids take the piss....

    Thats 4 excuses already.

Cant see why we will sell over 4000 when our average away support this season is probably around 500.

Hypothetical anyway, we'll probably get turned over on Thursday
  • please dont out loud at my expense im fragile saying that maybe 8000 was hopefull
  • Wow! Another thread thats turned into away numbers bashing, didn't see that coming!
  • edited December 2010
FA cup prices are cheaper PL proces - and playing at WHL when we are in League 1 is more exciting than playing at WHL when we were in the premier league.
  • No bashing here - just being optimistic and hoping I'll get a ticket

if not will have to go in the Spurs end with sis and brother-in-law who have S/Ts there

Not sure that comes into it to be honest.

After all the shit we've gone through, all the shit places we've been to over the last couple of years, a Top 6 Premiership team is somewhere people will actually make the effort to go to.
