Speaking as someone who has no chance of getting a ticket, as not an ST holder, and not been to many games at all this season cos of work, I think the restrictions are SPOT ON.
I'll never forget sitting at the Emirates of which at least a third of our section seemed to be Arsenal fans/Neutrals/Complete plastics. Obviously our VG/ST holders bought them for Arsenal mates etc. I'd been to a lot of away games and couldn't officially buy one to that match, or others. Away prem games like that should have been run like this, the people who travelled and made the effort and support should get first choice, ST or not. Common sense and a better atmosphere from real fans imo.
Just got my ticket. called in and got straight through so i assume the intial rush is now over. The guy did tell me i did not qualify all i had to do was give my VG number sorted.

seeing as the gate money for cup competitions is split equally between home and away clubs, the fans that go away are putting money into our club. the same way that by attending home cup ties, you put money into visiting teams coffers.
I've stated quite clearly that I've no problem at all with people who've attended the CUP games, home and away, getting priority given that this is a CUP game after all.
My gripe is that those who have been to away LEAGUE games (which do not financially benefit Charlton ) have been given priority over season ticket holders.
Hope there will be some VG priority in the next round - living 500 miles away, I finally gave up justifying a S/T last year, after many years of having one despite only getting to about half the games. I hoped my past track record and support of VG since the start would count for something in this situation...fingers crossed.
[cite]Posted By: O-Randy-Hunt[/cite]Whats all the sunday footballers doing then. Red card the week before or just telling the manager your off to watch the lads
Basically I am not going to the Spurs game, if you play football for a Sunday team you are commited to play for them, anyone who swerves their game is letting down their team mates.
i agree the lot of you should play, and ValleyGary you shouldn't be allowed a ticket as you have deserted the club this year to manage a saturday team and bloody reserves at that :-)

haha gotta start somewhere mate, plus ive jogged on my game on the 15th as im taking 14 pals to sheff wed....thats worth a ticket in itself.
Anyone missing vital players because they have gone to the Tottenham V Charlton game feel free to call me or Dave Storry.
I'm a nippy winger and Dave's a box to box midfielder.

NSS you av nothing to worry about cos when u r in with the new owners and they know u aint a plastic, your tickets are secure.
when people got their tickets, did anyone ask what tier they where in?
OR are we going to be given just a ticket for either tier? Sorry if this sounds silly
I must be the only one who's not desperate to get a Spurs ticket. Forgot they were going on sale today.
More disappointed that Rochdale was called off and that Hartlepool away is unlikely to go ahead. Oh well. I'm sure everyone who wants them will get their tickets.
Think you're spot on Boggzy. Barely bother going to the football nowadays at all. However, I do think the club have gone about it the right way. I used to do nearly all the away's and know how much effort you put in and how frustrating it can be a lot of the time as our support on the whole is shit, apart from around 3/4 games per season.
Anyone who wants a ticket will get one and I do think it's right priority goes to the people who currently are going the most. I think you're a decent lad Steve and can see why you feel you deserve a ticket. But you shouldn't take posters supporting this system as questioning your loyalty etc whatsoever.
