Thanks WSS. I did try that and it kept looping back to the CAFC Player, but I shut down the browser and tried it again and it's working now.
I see what everyone means about us needing a few more adverts - especially those that are colourful videos to make concentrating on the text a little more interesting.
It is not the most tasteful site ever, but despite that I think it looks ok, and it is, afterall, of very limited appeal these days. I probably spend more time on other clubs sites than I do on ours. If I wand Charlton news I come on here or forevercharlton.
Under no circumstances would I have been happy to continue to spend money to keep the old one. This is adequate, which is more than can be said for many of the other areas of the business right now.

What's the collective noun for neophobes?
Would you have described Charlton fans who protested over the move to Selhurst Park as neophobes, Henry?
Seems like you're not allowed to have an opinion these days without being called names.
For the record I didn't call anyone a neophobe, Floyd Montana did, yet you choose to pick me up on it. I wonder why?
Touchy! No specific reason. Okay, consider Floyd Montana picked up on it, too.
Sounding a bit paranoid there, Henry old chap!
Anyway, just for the record, I don't have a fear of new things. Just a fear of rubbish things. Not sure what the fancy word is for that. Anyone care to enlighten me?
Well I see that I am in the minority, nothing new there then. Obviously I am pleased that two people have retained their jobs, but when you start these threads are we just expected to conform. I don't like the new site and thats a fact. Perhaps I'm getting like that bloke in Dad's Army ' we're doomed ', what the hell I quite liked him.

Coprophobia?
Perhaps ataxophobia (a fear of untidiness) iconophobia (images) kinetophobia (moving images) or erythryphobia (red) might explain the reaction many have of the new site?
Parsonally, I have now developed hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

Very educational Floyd.
Any idea what the term for a dislike of wind up merchants is? Wumphobia?
Check out how the official website looked 10 years ago. I think some people are wearing rose tinted glassed if they think the new web site is crap.
I remember back in the 90's when it was just a white front page with the latest news aaahhhhhh

so cos it was crap a long time ago, means the new one wasn't? I don't get your logic. Anyway it was a great site for its time, indeed all the way up until its recent demise

I Never said the new one wasn't. I Hate it too. As for it being a great site for it's time , i beg to differ on that. I much prefered the one previous to it.

Ohhh...MARK ROYAL...didn't realise it was that one.
Incidentally the 7th photo from the Gallery of Saturdays match on the new site (i still hate it) shows Wagstaff and Jackson are getting on really well.
How do you get onto the new website, I keep just getting the cafc-tv home page, every time I try to get onto this new website. Any one else having problems with it.

Anyway we are in danger of taking this thread away from the original subject, and we all know where that leads!

2005 ( below ) was when it was at its best in my opinion. I cant find the pre 1998 versions.
