Complete rubbish!! Parkinson has been in the game long enough to know that every team gets the shitty end of the refs decisions at some point in a season. He should not be reacting to it.
Kind of disappointed by Parky's reaction, 'passion' is a good thing in a manager but give me a cool head to make solid tactical decisions any day. Still £1.5k will probably teach him a lesson, if he learns from this and doesn't make the same mistake twice then its not a big deal to me.
happy we've got a manager that gets stuck in. it give's the everyone the message that nobody at this club is soft or lacks passion. that message starts at the very top at our club and works it's way down. would love to hear that the fans were giving a big shout out to parky before the game tomorrow.
I make a distinction between showing passion and being hot headed. It's evident that the pressure is telling on Parky and his boiling frustration at the referee is 100% understandable. But part of his brief is to be a role model to the squad and he failed in this respect. He thus weakened his position when it comes to demanding discipline from the players. He knows that, so I too hope that he makes this incident the last one.
I can see Semedo saying "Bem que eu não deveria seguir o seu exemplo, como o inferno pode dizer que para mim, o Sr. Phil" next time he gets a card for dissent and is disciplined by the club.
Obviously I have complete confidence that our manager is subject to exactly the same treatment as the likes of Fergie, Wenger, Ancelotti and so on. Pathetic.
Now, whether you like Parky or not, you have to admit that he needs to think before he speaks. This isn't the first time is it. If he gets a two or three match ban how exactly does that help the team? And what example does it set to his players, especially the younger ones. Needs to learn some self-discipline or RM needs to start fining him.
This is a joke, managers like Harry Redknapp have got away with a lot worse. Both times Parky has been charged this season it has been due to dire refereeing decisions/performances. At Carlisle, the ref was terrible.
Maybe the FA should concentrate on the standard of refereeing and how to improve it, this season it has been laughable in some games. Respect- joke!
From past experience we know the system is weighted towards the big clubs, although very difficult to do managers should bare this in mind when making their post match comments. It's a bit like a player taking off his jersey in celebration, in that it is an instant reaction to a highly charged moment. I'm sure PP would admonish a player for celebrating in that way and getting a yellow card, then so should he have more control at post match briefings, even if the FA is a load of !@£$%+**

If RM starts fining him as well he won't have any money left with the number of charges he's getting!
In all seriousness though I do agree that he needs stop criticising refs. There is absolutely no advantage to be gained from doing it. He's not going to be able to intimidate refs like Fergie does.
[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]hehe, I'm loving Large's attempt to turn this into another dig at Phil
I wasn't though. I just think that he knows what will happen if he speaks out of turn about ref's and yet continues to do it. Now, for example, if Waggy got booked Saturday for calling the ref a rude word he'd get a Club fine I'd imagine. If he does it again likewise. How though can Parky tell him to button it without looking a total hypocrite. Just show some restraint Parky. And if you (not you specifically Rothko) think the sun shines out of his arse so much that you can't see this then more fool you.
Anybody who has ever been on the receiving end of FA decisions, either at national or county level, knows full well that their disciplinary committees are all run by absolute *****. As an example, I've appealed three times about red cards issued either by factually incorrect or grossly incompetent league committees.
On the factually incorrect ones, both were overturned, but only after about 30 minutes of 'pleading' our case (both were for two yellow cards and both had resulted (completely against league and FA guidance) in 35 day bans instead of 7). It should have taken them fifteen seconds to receive the appeal in their admin department, note that both sendings off were correct - but as they had come about because of two yellow cards, the suspension should have been for 7 days - precisely what we were appealing against. There was absolutely no need to make us jump through all the hoops of appealing, getting a hearing date, attending the hearing at expense to our committee and player and going through the minutiae of each yellow card offence.
The third was a ridiculous sending off, one was an indian lad who had been continually referred to as a 'paki' (and far worse) by the opposition throughout the game who had finally snapped after an hour's worth and ended up in a shouting and shoving match with one of them. He got a red card, the other c*** got a yellow. No mention was made of the racism in the referee's report - despite me talking to him at length about it to him at half time - because he was scared witless of the opposition. After hearing us for an hour (the other team weren't required to attend to justify their actions throughout the game - and wouldn't have been able to anyway, having been suspended by the league a couple of weeks earlier after another opponent's dressing room had been burnt down after a match with them) the FA threw our appeal out based on the fact that the referee had not mentioned anything about the racism in his report and was acting in accordance with the rules of the game in sending our player off.
With that in mind, together with the ridiculous discrepancy between individual cases at a national level, you can see why people think the FA - at all levels - are a joke.

As the stupidity of the FA is so well known, as well as the fact they love to come down on 'lesser' teams and let the big boys get away with it, surely Parky should know to keep his mouth shut, as nothing good is ever going to come from comments like these.
It's like a Nazi dictatorship! What is so awful about these comments?
"He's a referee who I normally like, but I thought he was their best player for 20 minutes today.
"In the second half he gave them every single decision, every single free-kick, but sometimes you have to contend with that away from home.”
It's an opinion, it's not like he's effing and blinding about him. Also, considering the FA has pretty much sold the soul of the game to the media and wants all managers speak to the media after the game, what the hell is supposed to say when a journo asks him what he thinks of the ref's performance?
Disgusted. Ever since the FA dismissed our appeal over Sankofa's sending off at the Emirates as "frivolent", we have been f***ed over time and time again whilst the big clubs get away with it every week.
Farcical, corrupt organisation that cares about nothing except money.

Someone at the clubs daughter told me he used the words 'f**k' 'cheating' and 'c*nt'

agree
I've heard Parkys name chanted at several games.
For what its worth I think it shows Passion but also a lack of discipline 4th Time he has been sent to the stand since being in the mgmt set up.
We need all 11 players on the pitch and all our mgmt team there as well.
Let's make this the last one parky please
today and mk in the week??
We have had apalling refs for several weeks in a row and it boiled over with a nonsense penalty decision...
It almost came off and we almost won the game..

Managers should just say exactly the same words that Redknapp did after every game - that would be hilarious.
There was other stuff in that interview too. He must be looking forward to his punishment
