I bet its like the Fonte and Lambert deals where you get about £200k for us getting promoted to The Championship with Frazer making x amount of appearances.
CENSORED Fuck. Shit! WANK!! BOLLLLLLLOOOCCKKSSS!!!!!!!! CENSORED
Sorry AFKA, but I'm not a happy bunny right now.
Did not think it was possible to hate Pardew than I did already. Boy was I wrong.
Dailly to Kilmarnock? Where's this come from? think he's settled in London so can't see that happening. Richardson is a big loss. Solly could probably do a job but we're still short there. What about Darby from Liverpool?
This is a complete annoyance there has to be a point where we get some thing from the club direct to say why and what else we can expect, how bad it really is and is anything positive going to happen.
Wake up Charlton do not take the piss, all you have to do is be honest news like this can not just appear on another teams website..
[cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]I doubt the fee upfront is £450k.

We did get told mate. RM told us when we didn't get promoted. 1 or 2 will need to be sold he said but we'd still try and be competitive. Signing two captains of other clubs shows that at least.
Some people on here really do make me wonder, yes i feel the disappointment of Frazier leaving, but come on he wasn't exactly gods gift who didnt make any mistakes. One of you guys comment on how others saying Solly can replace makes your blood boil. Why couldn't Solly step in? FOR ONCE he will be playing in his preferred position and I cant seem to remember a time he has f**ked it up for us. So for gods sake will some of you lot man up and accept the fact it was going to happen. Just be happy (FOR NOW) it isnt Semedo that this idiot Pardew has nicked from us!
1 or 2 mate yes but looking at dans thread on who is left it looks like what muzza should have said was that you will have 1 or 2 left the rest will all be new or youth.
I mean where is Christian D has he gone is he staying who else can we wake up to find has gone.
there needs to be light at the end of the tunnel.
the 1.7 mil from Jonjo i have been informed just now covered the running costs for the last weeks of the season and i expect Baileys will keep us going until the season starts and we can try to make money whilst the season starts.
450 k for fraser is good money and although he is a good player he was not our best CD was yet he seems to have just vanished.
All i ask is that someone comes out and states the real facts of the club so that we can all understand why and what needs to happen next.
The 2 incomings i am very happy with its Dans thread that has really got me thinking not this one
Absolutly gutted & really p**sed off with the Board............I wont surrendere my season ticket but seriously thinbking about making a protest at Welling next week.
Don't agree with most comments on here (that's a surprise I here you say) and the reasons........
1) £450k is not enough - best right back in the league (as voted by his peers) and still under contract. We sold Bailey for over £1m in similar circumstances
2) Solly is not good enough and even if he was we still need cover.
3) Second to Dailly last year and only missed out on POTY as he missed a few games with injuries - better winger than Sam !
This shows the folly of signing players on very short contracts - Dailly is out of contract having been here just 1 year and Soilly only just signed a new 1 year deal
cant say anymore - too fed up
feck the Board - might as well go into Administration ala Southampton............who is stronger now !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can see what your saying, the optimist in me says that everything I've seen from Solly has been encouraging and the one obvious weakness (aerial ability) wasn't exactly Richardson's strong point.
The pesimist says that it's a huge ask to expect Solly to step up, we are losing an experienced pro at a good age and will sell our other asset. Not to mention the fact we are doing business with Pardew, who to use his favourite term, 'raped' this club.

It does seem that it is only when teams enter administration that people become interested in clubs and new owners arrive. Albeit at quite a big long-term cost.
It's like snakes and ladders at the moment. I'm puzzled by Baileys transfer delay, so that's like muddling along. Then quite chuffed we have Doherty, up a bit. Gutted we lose Richardson, back to the start and now we get McCormack who I've never heard about. I would like Solly to have a run at full back. If the Borrowdale rumour is correct, i'd like that as he is reliable. With Youga you never know if you are going to get a superstar or pants performance.

Try reading the post. I said it makes my blood boil when I read people spouting about how all our youngsters can step in and play next season. What exactly are they basing that on?.
If you actually thought about what I said, you would see that that the general gist is that we should be protecting these players.
No-one is going to convince me that Solly is ready for a whole season at right back.
If its £450k upfront then we have had Southamptons pants down. I doubt it is though. Gutted to see Frazier leave and wish him the best. Lets see who we get in at RB for the season....cant see him playing solly tbh.

On those two points, it's the reality of football at this level and below, unless you have plenty of money like Southampton. Not many players are lucky enough to get more than 2 years, and reliable full backs don't move for millions. Bailey has a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder that has done it at Championship level before. Goalscoring midfielders aren't easy to find, especially compared to full backs.

Bitter twat.
I try and give my opinion and get shot down by you.

We struggled to find a buyer and were 48 hours from going bust. Don't think everything is fine when going into administration, it was a horrible feeling. We got lucky.
[cite]Posted By: ken from bexley[/cite]I only came on here at halftime in the Holland match........ christ! I am going back, and hide under the covers.. jeez!
Didn't know this has happened until 5 mins ago, gutted nope not really, I rate solly and at 20 is ready to step up to the plate in his favoured position (not left back) we as fans have got to get on with it. We are skint our board have swallowed the losses for a few years now and cannot or cannot be expected to keep on doing it. We as a club have got to rebuild, ala Millwall it aint going to be quick it aint going to be pretty, but one thing is for sure we as fans have a big role to play in our clubs future.SO TO ALL THE JOHNNY COME LATELYS (WHICH THERE AREN'T MANY ON THIS BOARD) IF YOU DONT LIKE TO FECK RIGHT OFF

If we sell Semedo and Dailly goes to Kilmarnock then that is our top 4 players from last season, not to mention Shelvey and Randolph, gone.
Still at least we've got a bloke from Southend who I have never heard of.
Sorry AFKA, but I'm not a happy bunny right now.

So you don't actually know? Thanks for the insight.
You have been warned Southampton!
An eternal optimist. One of the many reasons I married her.
COYR
Agree with Large that £450 is good IF it's upfront and if it means we get Jackson and Reid in.
We shall see but bugger, bugger, bugger.
