[cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]"You're a hugely popular figure with the fans"

"I have such a special rapport with the fans, pleasure to have been here during those times",etc etc

got to listen to the interview guys.

    i'm welling up again.

Me too. Can we get an early bid in to sponsor his kit?

Will go to whoever sponsored Parky's kit.

Still him being at the Sponsors evening do will make those prizes just a little bit more desirable.

Shame our choice of players wasn't that great : - )
  • I got Johnnie Jackson for Christmas from Mr W, so we'll be there at the sponsors' dinner. Be fab to see Chrissy P there too. (Plus frees up a dinner space in the Lifers draw...)

Have tried to sign-up for CAFC player but couldn't get past the Visa verification bit. GRRRR.

  • Leicester City Website.
    Chrissy Powell quotes:

"I know that I am ready for my first step in to management and I am absolutely delighted to be joining Charlton. There has been speculation about my future for a while, yet I have been happy at Leicester City, so I stayed. But the lure of managing one of my old clubs, Charlton, which is pretty much my 'spiritual home', was too great for me to turn down."

    Sums it up for me.
  • You're right there, Einstein.
  • is the audio interview documented anywhere? I might sign up for cafc player tonight on the strength of this!

No, I really can't - when the rumour first started it seemed far too much of a dream to come true!! So glad I happened to spot it on Weds eve - I've hardly been off CL since!! (Not so good for work...)
  • Would be a good idea for the club to get some special t- shirts printed for the Plymouth game - could make them a few quid. Would also be great if a few that have stopped coming make the effort and signal that something has changed for the better. Of course we could all be moping home after another disapointing defeat which is often the Charlton way but it could be a glorius day and the start of a new positive era.

I've really come round to this after initial misgivings, having read and seen more of where he's coming from. Awesome.
