  • defender?
  • Hates Millwall?
  • a bit left field that one, but i don't pay too much attention when it is wrote as a 'target'
  • I was under the impression Bristol city have very little money. Non starter on Semedo leaving imo
  • Can see why teams would covet Jose but I would have thought that the comments PP made a about Bailey and the message him leaving would send out to the fans apply equally to Semedo.
  • lot of money at this time and for a player in this league .

Play daily at CM and buy another CH plus puncheon and bernard?

    Nah won't happen.
  • I must admit I skim read it and thought it said Birmingham city, sorry blurry eyed this morning
  • Haha 'Day 19 in the transfer window, still no sign of any charlton transfers' like all the other 18 days :-)

dunno about that semedo rumour, firstly seems like price is a bit inflated. secondly although i do read that paper its not the most reliable source, so i will take with a pinch of salt
  • Hope this is just lazy journalism, think Semedo is as important as Bailey to the team.

  • [cite]Posted By: mart77[/cite]Taken from today's Sun:

CHARLTON defender Jose Semedo is a £1million target for Bristol City.

Semedo, 20, was a free from Sporting Lisbon in June 2007.
Hell No! You cannot have our only portugeezer!

he was a rb when signed he later became cdm
  • cb I thought, but I think hes better at fb
  • That may be it ha ha
  • http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arron_Davies

Arron Davies has been released by Forest.

Winger who can play on either wing and up front. Seemed to do well for Yeovil with a decent goal return for a winger.

Available and presumably cheap-ish. Wonder if he is on Parky/Chapple's radar?

He caused us problems when playing for Yeovil in the FA Cup against us in 2005. Would be a good addition imo as he is free and versititle. If he could get 100% fit would be an asset

Had a few injury problems so would be fine for us : - )

Just another example of just how far we have fallen, people getting to over excited that we may just may be looking at the 'mighty' jason puncheon... he was very good a few years ago at barnet but has failed at plymouth, I don't think he is a charlton player, a good run and might be looking for greener fields. As for paynter and barnard again, how many people have seen these players play? Playing us does not count one game does not make a worthy addick. Personally and this is just me think we need an experienced keeper 33 years old plus to help elliot along, a cb with some pace about him, a left winger who can run and cross thus freeing up bailey racon and semedo to control midfield, think with mooney, burton, dicko, tuna and maybe sodje on loan were fine up front. 4 4 1 1 for the rest of term, if a left player comes in would like to see bailey play the gerrard role with shelvey in the wings or centre mid in his prefferd role.
  • Parky rubbished the Semedo to Bristol City rumour tonight after the game.
  • Agree maybe another keeper would be good for Elliots development and would allow Randolph to go as he is not gonna be no1 here.

  • Jamal Campbell-Ryce [Barnsley - Bristol City] Undisclosed
  • In todays Mirror (obviously not true then) - Derby are ready to snap up Millwall's highly-rated left winger Dave Martin in a £150,000 swoop.

Been quite impressed with him whenever i've seen him play, he'd be perfect for our left wing.
  • Leeds United have made a bid of £175,000 for Southend striker Lee Barnard, BBC Radio Leeds understands.

The 17-goal forward has been linked with a transfer to Elland Road although the Essex club denied reports that he had already made the move.

A statement on their website read: "Southend United can categorically deny that this rumour is true.

"There have been three interested parties in signing Lee... no offer has currently been accepted."

The statement added: "At the moment we fully expect Lee to be in the starting line-up for Saturday's game against Wycombe Wanderers."

The former Tottenham trainee, who made three Premier League appearances, joined Southend in 2008 and has scored 37 goals in 85 appearances.

The 25-year-old had loan spells at Exeter, Stevenage, Leyton Orient, Northampton and Crewe when he was at Spurs.

Could have had him for next to nothing from Dartford a few seasons ago. ;o)

Talking of ex-Dartford players who made it to the FL, how's Norwich's Cory Notgibbs getting on?
He had some really good reviews a while ago.
  • Yes Dave Martin is cafc
  • Do we not have a 'relationship' with Dartford?

Having seen Martin play at the Spanners it's hard to see how we didn't go in for him, especially being left-footed.

They signed him in the mid-season of our first Championship season. I think at that point quite a few people thought we were looking alright to go back up so Dartford > Prem was too big a jump

Instead we sold our best player ;-)
  • He was at Tuesdays game leading to a link but nothing in it other than he was watching HIS favourite team ;-)

Weren't we in the championship when we signed the great Dorian Smith?!
