Just read comments from LG etc at the top o`th thread to be honest, but appreciate such thoughts. Also as a programe contributor it was fantastic to get such a superb response from you lot (very good spelling, grammar as well - no need for any editting - as well as the legends of the Killer etc. When we played Sunderland, their club did n`t want to know - their fanzine saved my `cause`. Some clubs we play have n`t really got anyone who`ll man the phone, or anyone who`ll comment on line. This afternoon makes it all worthwhile. Would rather that the `largin it` types in the capital lost to us today and really wish you good luck for the future. Not that you`ll need it with such a fab fan base (however quiet today). Andy H

Andy, thanks for the program, it's a decent read.
Every club has it's fair share of moronic idiots and I suspect the idiot who came over (then quickly moved when a few of our lot tried decided to stroll towards him) was not a regular fan.
Most of your guys, in the bar, beforehand were hoping not to do a Paulton. It was had to see who the league team were, you did a proper job on us and fair play.
Good luck in the next round and hope you get through and get that big payday you deserve and need in the third round.
Well done to Northwich. Everyone was up for it from the fans right through to the entire team. Decent ground and a good pitch. No complaints from me, the lads at the end giving it soon beat a hasty retreat when it was clear that they would be accomodated and it was more amusing than anything else. Good luck against Cheadle, Lincoln and for the rest of the season. Nice bar as well!
Can we have Bailey their center half and put him up front? Maybe Gradi doesn't rate him as a forward but we might just have use for him!
We deserved to lose, and when it's important to a club it's fans and players and they deserve to win.... that's what it's all about. I'll always take a win but if the other team truly deserves their points through honest endeavour then all I say is bravo to them.
great result for NV and their real fans. it will live long in the memory, for both sets of fans. with respect im not really sure that we played that bad, i actually think that NV played very well for 95 minutes. at no point during the match did i actually think we were going to win. well done.
This is a really great thread to read. Thanks guys.
Just been on the Lincoln forum and they're all sounding pretty confident of beating us; a far cry from the magnanimous posts on here, both pre- and post-match.
You seem like a great bunch of fans who deserved better than your players served up today. Hope they can get back to winning ways and you can cement that place back in the Premiership.
Took over 4 1/2 hours to get home but have to say ALL the Northwich fans I spoke to after the game were very good and were rightly delighted. If it hadn't been for Darren Randolph it would have been a lot worse. Styayed with some friends that live in Northwich on Saturday night and other than the result(obviously) had an enjoyable weekend.
Good luck in the next round. Now we can concentrate on sliding slowly down the table.
Been a funny old day - after a stop-off at the Wetherspoons we ended up parking at Witton's ground and having to clamber over a muddy embankment to get across to the Victoria Ground; must have been their little joke ;-)
Nice town and nice people, though, lots of banter with the stewards; and Northwich fully deserved the win. Hope they can overcome Lincoln and get a real giant for the third round.
Got back about an hour ago, not quite flying but at times dangerously light-headed for someone zooming down the M6, M40, A34 etc.
Nice of you to think of me. I imagine you must all be a tad annoyed at the Charlton display today. I would like to think that it was down to the skill of our midfield in suffocating the threat before it could materialise (because in all honesty your squad should have walked all over us on paper), but I think we simply showed we wanted it more and set about the job from the start.
I also thought we'd fade in the last quarter, but I'd reckoned without the rigours of the Preece/Morrison training regime. There were a few heart-in-mouth moments towards the end, but I think we held on quite comfortably just as I was planning my trip to The Valley for the replay.
I read somewhere on our forum that Andy Preece has said he rested our long-throw merchant Herring last weekend on purpose so that your club spies wouldn't see him in action. That's one of the good side-effects of languishing in a lower league, we can have a secret weapon. Not that he'll be a secret any more if he's been on telly. Time to sign the Ronaldo lookalike from the local college before round 2.
It's been good to chat on here over the past week or so with some good-natured fans who don't share the 'we are too big for you' attitude of some clubs I could mention. I shall make a point of watching out for your progress over the next few months, and I hope you can bounce back from today and, as they say, concentrate on the league and go for promotion.
Now I'm going to relax with a pizza and the video of a match shown this afternoon on ITV. Please don't spoil it for me by posting the result on here.
Nice one DG. Good luck in the next round. Your beast of a centre half embarrassed himself in the interview when he said he wanted a championship in the next round.... ok so i am takind the pee and clutching at straws.
Dorsetgreen good for you mate, win at Lincoln, get a big draw in the next few rounds, and get a lot of dosh for your club, and for good guys like you and all the excellent Northwich supporters. I reckon one Northwich supporter, on the evidence of yesterday, is worth about twenty Manchester United fans.
I didnt see the game yesterday which would explain why i actually felt chuffed for your fans. Hubby told me we were an embarassment & that you deserved it so thats fair enough. Good luck against Lincoln!

Apologies for the arseholes.
Wonder whether they will be there for the Cheadle Town game on Tuesday?

the small club in welling!
Any news of DaarsetGreen yet? Is he flying home?
Trust me, I know how it feels to head back down the M6 after a defeat at the Victoria Stadium. It stinks.
My sympathy for your travelling fans really is heartfelt!!
