  • The celebration was great, for gawd sake Arsenal fans, you baited him, it got under his skin, but he rose above to score a vital goal, and then let you know. Wry smiles and the odd "wankah" hand signal, but incitement to riot? Only if gooners are admitting to being neanderthal children.
  • and a ban stems from the reaction rather then the reaction.

Will there be mass banning of Arsenal supporters? Doubt it as Arsenal can never admit they are reasonable for anything
  • Should be tackled by Terry Hurlock or Terry Naylor
  • Good little blog on this here.

Cannot disagree with a word of this. Fans' outrage cracks me up. Recall years ago in the south stand a pair of old duffers behind me giving Phallic Rae a constant ear bashing on various subjects. Sunderland absolutely battered us that game with Rae and Phillips fantastic, much to these old whiners disgust and the cracks went on and on and on. Rae bangs in a 30 yarder right in front of the South stand and gave a bit of a fist pump celebration to the Charlton half of the stand before heading off to his own fans. The old lads ran off to find a cop to complain about being incited to riot. I don't like Rae, but it seems nuts that you can scream obscene bloody murder at a player for 70 minutes, but he can't celebrate in front of you, without it being a police matter. People are babies.
  • Think the celebration was necessary well done son. Kicking someon in the head if done perposfully (not by accident) IS Raw however if it was an accident (which it dont look like) then its ok really.
  • [cite]Posted By: BlackForestReds[/cite]Fair enough...but if Pardew had run over to the North Stand and celebrated had Southampton won the match on Saturday would you be so accepting?

Going back to the comment by BlackForestReds, I probably wouldn't have been that happy about it, but I certainly wouldn't have responded by throwing a chair/coin in his direction, nor would I have been jumping over seats and charging to the front of the stands. The Arsenal fans' reaction was OTT, rather than the celebration in my opinion.
  • Unfortunately with many fans goal celebrations are completely acceptable as long as they are not directed against their beloved team!

HIV - homophobic reference, hanging from a tree reference to American South lynchings

Surely hanging from a tree is in referance to the lunacy bit? The time when he broke down in a game playing for arsenal. Its basically saying that he is mad and cant take no more so he will end up commiting suicide?

Whereas I assumed it was because that's how the original Judas ended up.

That's a more than a little reminicent of my Friday night curry.

yer very weird, how they could do with him now aswell lol
  • Feck me, I doubt if Adebayor or any of the other poor bastards caught up in that attack are all that focused on what shirt they are wearing at the moment, they are probably still in extreme shock.
  • Apparently some Arsenal fans are planning to bring blow up machine guns to the arsenal V Man City game. What a bunch of arseholes.

Agree, but still a bit strange that he's even got an Arsenal shirt in his wardrobe.

Yes, but not quite as strange as being attacked with machine guns by a bunch of lunatics whilst on your way to a football match.

I can see your point OA, but I was really surpirsed by seeing him with that polo on. I mean, if he's with it enough to do an interview, surely he's with it enough to realise he shouldn't do it with a shirt from his old club on?! Especially one that he hates, and hates him. Very odd.
  • Anyone watching the City game? Adebayor is absolutely terrible! 25m transfer fee, 150k a week wages and can't even control a ball or bother to run. Biggest waste of money i've ever seen.
