[cite]Posted By: Henry Irving[/cite]Coventry couldn't agree a fee and it seems neither can we.
Big clubs trying to rip off non-leaguers or unrealistic pricing by the Taffs?
I'm guessing the real money for a non-league club in this type deal would be made by inserting a sell-on clause. Maybe they want too higher percentage which has made both us and Coventry withdraw their bids.

The only fee I've mentioned in connection with Holden is £10k. Given how much we paid for Fleetwood and we're possibly selling him today with only one competitive appearance to his name, we shouldn't agree to pay anything more than a nominal fee for this chap.
However, if the fee is as small as £10k it does seem strange we would refuse to pay it given this is probably only 2 weeks wages for a number of our players.
Perhaps we have never been after him!
Maybe but was claimed on another site that he been on trial for a week.
Maybe he didn't impress but the agent is doing his job.
See.....nobody really made it .....Matt Elliot...not for us, Paul Gorman a few flashy games after killer left. OK. Paul Williams and Colin so far, in 35 years?
[cite]Posted By: Mike[/cite]leeds being linked with Viduka on pay as you play? Him and Beckford would walk this league.
any confirmed signings yet or all in the balance?
Leeds are probably still paying his wages from the last time he was with them! Viduka is class and a very clever player. - Hopefully he is Beckfords replacement. I won't be at all suprised if Shelvey and Bailey are sold at 5pm. (No source, just me being pessimistic!)
Sodje would be a brilliant signing. Not sure about Mckenzie, he works hard but just not sure if he's the goalscorer we need.

75% of those named went on to have decent league careers.
More than a few others at other clubs such as the winger at Wolves.
Know nothing about Holden but he should be judged on how good/bad he is rather than that he plays non-league now.

Not sure about that Mike. Viduka at Leeds (can't see it happening myself) would be a bit like when JFH was with us. Won't do much for team spirit and Viduka won't expect to do much running about.
Can't see the Viduka thing in a million years. They have though signed Leigh Brondby, left back from Sheff U, and i think that is a pretty solid signing.

Redknapp is getting a bargain with Kranjcar
Paul Williams. Big diff between 'gambling' 10k on Holden and 100k on Fleetwood. Could we have a quick whip-round ??
Scott McGleish didn't might not have made the grade at Charlton, but went on to have a very good career at this level after he left us.

Wasnt Ian Wright playing for Greenwich Borough when he was 23.

Kightly has done ok!!
Give the chap a chance - it's hardly a massive risk and so nothing to lose
If you believe that, you believe anything.
FACT
I know they're supposed to be part of the Ledley deal but lets hope that collapses and we get taken over in the next few hours ;0)
Coat please!
Happy with anyone coming in if they cheap as long as good ones don't go!!!!!
