[cite]Posted By: Curb_It[/cite]Yes there would. What about the time Shearer celebrated his penalty in front of the north upper. We didnt excactly sit there and clap him. Wouldnt go out and brick coaches mind you.
I think fans should take the abuse they're prepared to dish out to players, but Lee Hughes should keep quiet. Those who bricked coaches need to be locked up.
[cite]Posted By: windscreen[/cite]Wolves fans throwing bricks at coaches obviously to hurt or kill people (bricks are very heavy) I wonder how many will be convicted of attempted murder? They had weapons in their hands and knew the consequences, only difference to Hughes is that they probably werent out of their skulls on a cocktail of drink and drugs, which in my book makes them as bad or worse than Hughes...they meant to maim or kill, Hughes probably didnt even know what planet he was on!
Yes, all this thread needs is some whataboutery.
What Hughes did last night was premeditated and its consequences put his club's fans at risk. Just so that he could show his love for a completely different club and wind up Wolves fans. Nothing condones what the Wolves fans did, but it's not like they just picked on Notts County at random.
Knowing Wolves, that was Wolves being Wolves in what was a police free game. Everyone knows that they are up there near the top of the bullies/attacking innocents list. Im 99.9% sure they would have tried to brick the coaches no matter what Hughes had or had not done.
Not defending him, he is filth, pure scum, if only for his actions since the "murder", let alone the actual act. But I don't see the link between what he did and some spotty wolves youth attacking the coaches, like they try to do most games (and they ain't alone, esp in the midlands).
If a fan had ran on the pitch and tried to attack Hughes or another County player, then I would see the link.
In summing up - Hughes is scum and so are a minority of Wolves 'fans' who like to attack innocents. But then we know this anyway.
Watched the match and despite the fact he's an ex-spanner, with noxious off the pitch baggage, I had to admire his performance, in the twilight of his career, outshining City's overpaid Internationals.

No but we'd note down the number of their train.
Amazing that my Notts County friends on FB are not only protecting him from criticism today - they're actually going over the top with praise for him.
Link - post 11 is pure charming
They even have a facebook page celebrating what he did
