[cite]Posted By: CAFCBourne[/cite]Shaun Bartlett for me thought he could miss from on the goal line, mind you that could be said about most of our strikers over the years
Behave. Bartlett was a fantastic servant to this club. Putting him in the same bracket as ooze like Pitcher, Traore, Cole and Faye is flat out wrong.

He did say irational, I don't know why i just did. I know he has done fantastic with the club in SA and has been the perfect loyal servant, but everytime his name was called out i thought oh no here we again!!
Fair enough, CAFC Bourne. He did say irational! But I reckon Bartlett was actually as good at playing the lone front man as anyone I've seen for us in recent years. Didn't get enough goals -that's a given. But I'd even go so far as to say he was more comfortable/natural in a 4-5-1 than the mighty Bent...
Will probably get a few pelters but mine was & always be Les Berry a more useless centre half I have never seen, yet was always ever present never injured & total crap. I have seen worse players at Charlton but they are never around long enough to truly hate them unlike Les who always seemed to be around.
Can't believe Jerome Thomas hasn't been given a mention, thought he was the bees knees but hardly ever lived up to it and was an absolute tool off the pitch as well.
Marcus Bent - easy to see why he's such a journeyman.
Rommedahl - Another infuriating player who had ability but rarely showed it.
Totally agree with nigel w's comments about Bartlett, his workrate was amazing and was one of the best players we had at defending corners.
"Never took to Don Macallister - couldn't forgive him for breaking Mark Penfold's leg, which ended a very promising career."
That happened right in front of me as a young kid Weggie. First time I'd ever heard a bone breaking and still gives me the shivers thinking about it now.
As for my least favourite player, changes every time I stop and think about it but Redfearn is never far from the top of my list.

I was a little kid too, Les, and also heard it, but I was halfway up the East Terrace. Awful. Couldn't believe it when we then signed Macallister. Giving him the benefit of the years, it was probably more of a full-blooded challenge than a really dirty one.
Scott Parker - can't believe i'm still bitter and would dearly like to get over it. Wouldn't pass up the opportunity of hiding a smelly old fish in his car though. Aston Martin Vanquish wasn't it that he purchased with his hefty signing on fee. Lovely car would be a shame to spoil it.
Has to be Danny Murphy for me! I hated him when he left us like that, his smug face at 12:05 as he drove out of the spurs ground after signing. Im so glad he failed there!
On the pitcher front i was too young to remember (born in 81), however he does go down Charlton and I have seen him a couple of times. Very rude and loves a gamble and beer!!!
On the Defoe front did he ever play a first team game?
Carlton Cole-Billy big bollox twat
Darren Pitcher i wonder if he's still got the tie?
Danny Murphy
most of the two-bob passed it losers and lazy twats we've had on loan the past two seasons
Recent: Danny Murphy smug git in his 4 by 4 saying what a wonderful club Spurs was at 10 to 12 on 31 January 2006 just after our match against WBA (I think).
Further back: Paul Walsh. Met him on one of the open days in the early 80s and he came across as an arrogant little git turning down autographs etc. His attitude towards us in the media ever since has done nothing to change that opinion.
Talented player I accept: I remember a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge where we were battered for the whole match but came away with a draw because of two pieces of Walsh magic.

Is it something to do with a Liverpool/Spurs connection Len?

Hadn't thought of that!
Could be subconsciously I suppose as I don't particularly like either club.
Danny "as I said to Stevie G, my watch is worth more than you earn in a month, I play for the team when I'm bothered and let my wife slag the club off in the papers" Murphy.
Alan Mullery - Not a player but still hate him. Even more than Dowie.
Comments
In the dying days of his career at Charlton he took to wearing a Mickey Mouse badge, when asked why he said "because it's a Mickey Mouse club".
'nuff said.
faye
Bent
Jeffers
same old same old take the money and take the piss

Much under-estimated player , IMO.

Jimmy Flloyd Hasselwank
What a waste of 50k a week

Piggybaink - For being what I believe is now called a toxic asset, also for not celebrating on the rare occaisions he did do something worthwhile.
Rommers - For being the biggest disappointment ever.
Fish - For being the only player that's ever refused my son an autograph, also for that stupid Feeesh thing, what on Earth was that all about?
Defoe - for being the greediest, most self-centred, selfish weasil that ever stalked the planet.
Darren Pitcher i wonder if he's still got the tie?
Danny Murphy

Totally irrational but there was just something about him
No there was nothing about him!! Could be the case!!

touch of the dowies too...

I'd forgotten him. Or at least I've spent the last decade trying to !
Alan Mullery - Not a player but still hate him. Even more than Dowie.
Mark Hudson-His debut and tuesday night was his only fantastic games
Current candidate is Semedo, Hope he goes in the summer.
