Who is your least favourite Charlton player of all time ?

edited March 2009 in General Charlton
Rational or totally irational ?

Could be because they were terrible on the pitch, slagged us off after leaving, was rude to you in the pub, or crashed into your car....

  • Hey, lay-off Darren Pitcher!

Marcus Bent ... now that's a whole different story.

Danny Murphy - especally if you include his missus and the stupid things she used to write in her column.

And nobody's mentioned dear old Ralph Milne...
  • oh, and Scott Minto, no particular reason other than he gave me a really dirty look as he got off the coach at Welling about 1989 for a reserve game one afternoon, to this day I dont know why, obviously didnt like my dress sense.

It may have been RedArmySE7 if my memory serves but someone certainly put a post up some time ago that put Murphy in a totally different light, if what was said is true, have a lot of time for the guy.
  • Phil Chapple.
  • NO SCOTT PARKER YET lol

    Pitcher without a doubt....
Paul Williams - still can't forget his wanker sign when in a palace shirt. - but then his goals etc I should forgive and forget but I can't
mike salmon - one out and out miserable **** and he gave us the coffee bean as well
  • NO SCOTT PARKER YET lol - Will never blame Parker after the club reneged on their gentlemans agreement (allegedly).

I think it will be difficult to eclipse the way I felt about Marcus Bent.

And, any club insiders know which member of staff thought it would be a good idea to let him do the half time Valley Gold Draw?
  • Barry Endean, about as useful as a chocolate teapot
  • I'd go with Salmon, Pitcher did give us a good night at Ewood.

Never liked Garth Crooks, because I felt he pretty much retired whilst he was still getting paid by us.

Terry Brisley and John Salako because of where they'd come from.

  • Carl Tiler
  • rommendahl total tosser and complete waste of time especially away game at west brom when Robinson came in to tackle him and he shite himself and got out of the way.
  • Danny Murphy. Not just for the way he left us and the comments he made, but for me I could not stand the bloke after an incident with him before the Tottenham home game in October 2005. Cast your minds back and up until that point Murphy was playing out of his skin, there were calls for him to get back in the England set up and he really was pulling the strings for us in midfield. Anyway it was my nephew's christening the next day and as a gift bought him the old fashioned footballs the clubshop were selling at the time and I thought I would get this signed by all the players. So I waited outside the players entrance before the game and asked each player if they would mind signing my ball "To Liam" as it's my little nephews christening tomorrow. Every player (included curbs, day and Peacock) had no problem with this and signed the ball accordingly. Then Mr Murphy rocks up with Luke Young. This was the response I got from him " No I ain't got time to be dealing with signing names" Snatched the ball out of my hand and signed what could have just been X!!!! Luke Young was standing behind him at the time and just looked at me in shock. "What a charming fella he is Luke!!" I said. Youngy just grinned and like the true gent he is signed my ball to Liam as I asked.

The man had no class at the time of that incident and showed no class in the way he left the club.

    Rant over!!!
  • lisbie
  • Still haven't forgiven Scott Parker for putting the kibosh on our best ever Premier League season, but don't hate him. Marcus Bent on the other hand...
  • Andy Todd
    Andy Todd
    and
    er
    Andy Todd
  • Carlton Cole, lazy overrated mug.
  • It used to be Lawrie Madden which was probably a bit harsh as he probably wasn't that bad but just looked so ungainly.
