Might just be - East Stand Block D - 3 of us in Row H and the other two in Row I. I'll be the one with the tartan Bay City Rollers CAFC scarf round my wrist.
Get the money get curbs in........better the devil you know... let murray and curbs finish the job they started........
Pards has lost interest/ he cant get a team he has conctructed to play for him... end of... hes full of excuses and at the moment i dont like him, we cant sack him becasue it will cost us too much...
we have to wait and see how the takeover saga goes, if we dont get bought we stick with him, if we do get bought we change it...
Not my first choice but if/when the takeover happens I can see a certain mr Alladyce being offered the job. I for one hate the bloke and his style of football but at the moment would love the commitment and drive his teams have
Agree Mascot. New challenge, new owners and (hopefully) some money to spend. He needed a long break and now he's had one His sides can play good football and we saw that in the Di Canio, Parker era. When that team broke up he knew that he'd never manage to get us in that position again and he lost heart. Even if it was just an interim appointment to steady the ship, I'd be happy. Di Canio would be another good candidate for the job and would certainly bring some much needed passion back to the club. Alan Simonsen is another who still has a great deal of affection for the club and has managerial experience at an international level.
Yep i'm not calling for Pards to go just yet, but if you swapped managers of the 2 squads last night i think he would get more out of them than pards. If you run through the 2 line ups you would probably pick more of ours than theres
If it happens, and if the takeover is completed, then Sam Alladyce for me, I'll take the style of football. If the takeover isn't completed then Steve Barnes.

Who is Steve Barnes? A hybrid of Steve Brown and John Barnes, maybe?

Yeah, otherwise know as NSS.
Seriously, I haven't got a clue who, I'm not convinced Kinsella or Brown are anywhere near ready for this level
Since when have we became like Tottenham, a poor run of form & the manager must go? Isn't three different bosses in the last few seasons enough? We've hardly got the finances & big players to be up in the prem or really even challenging for automatic promotion. We've seen how well we can play @ times this year & our position is just due to a lack of consistency. However, when have we ever had that?
Since our days in the Prem the fans expectations have unfairly rocketed & it's really working against us now. Yes the players/staff get paid more £££ than we could ever imagine having but it's all relative to the industry & no doubt they all still feel the same amount of pressure some of us do every day at work. Except we don't have 18,000 people giving us grief every other week. We don't have the players to be right up there, so why should we expect to be?
Who knows if we'll get back into the Prem in the next few seasons, if this takeover happens then yes we can expect it, but until then it'll just be the same old Charlton we use to have before we made it to the so called promise land of football. There is no point wanting a new manager when there is no-one really better out there within our budget, especially when we'll still have the same faces around.
I personally if we were to replace pards (bad idea in my opinion) would like to see someon like Chris Coleman come in never mind him being welsh i'm sure he'd do us some good!
I'll like Pards to get it right first, and with the takeover, he might be able to get some quality in, maybe Ben Watson, or someone dropping down like a Campo in the window.
We needed to score in that 25 minutes last night, otherwise the confidence was going to go, it did, and we got done easily.
[cite]Posted By: smokin ice[/cite]How about someone without a connection to charlton but with a point to prove, Alan shearer.
I'd quite seriously rather have Al Murray...
And Rothko, I think AP has had more than long enough now to show that he has some clue about what to do. His judgment is rubbish. He'd rather spend £1.5M on Andy Gray than keep Big Chris. He brings back a Kelly Youga full of confidence then proceeds to decimate it, and if we're not careful, Bailey could follow the same path. He brings in Crainie, an England U21 centre half, and proceeds to play him as full back. He's now heaping loads of pressure on Izzy McLeod to save us, when the guy needs to be eased in gently and allowed to grow in confidence. Let's face it - Pardew has failed, so giving him cash to spend is only going to make things worse not better in my opinion.
The Revisionism over big Chris is funny, sorry he wouldn't have scored anymore then Gray in this Charlton team, and he would be target of the boo boys.
As for Youga, the player needs to take the responsibility for his performances, he hasn't been dropped, he hasn't been singled out by the manager, so I don't get where thats Pardew's problem?
Have you seen Bailey in a Charlton shirt? I don't see his confidence dropping. and for heaping pressure on McLeod, your projecting something that wasn't even said.

I was just giving these as a few examples of poor judgment and poor man management. I could pick many, many more, but have better things to do with my time! And yes, I have seen Bailey in a Charlton shirt, thanks very much. He is still quite a young player, making a step up, and on the whole doing it very well. However, the warning signs are there - I heard from a friend at the match and have read on here that after his mistake which led to their goal, his confidence and performance fell to bits. To me, that is one of the first things the manager needed to address at half-time. Clearly he didn't.
Just becasue I live 500 miles away and don't get to every single match doesn't mean I don't have an opinion ;-)

Darren Ferguson,
Robert Lee,
Sam Alleridyce
Gharam Souness
Jamie Redknapp
Steve McClaren
I'm still waiting for MCFC to tell me whether we can have him or not.
Where is MCFC today, by the way?

Know what you mean - Kins or Brown would be a big gamble, but at least they love the club. Then again, so does Les Reed...
It's why, despite many reservations, I really hope this takeover does happen, as without it we are in deep doo doo.

And then further down goes on to say how he doesn't rate Ranieri who last night led Juve to a win over Real Madrid. Nice one AFKA!
